Expectations set high for a $250 round (x 2). Greens were firm and in beautiful shape. The rest of the course was a 4 out of ten at best. Layout was terrific but sand traps inconsistent; some wet, some dry, some lacking sand. Facility was 100 years old. Dated and nothing spectacular at all. Pro Shop a 3. Really expected more out of a $500 day. Not recommended. Mid-Pines tomorrow and I have heard good things so I will let you know.

Incredible course, very challenging greens and approach shots. This was the first course we played of our golf trip this year, was in good condition. I’m a 4 handicap and found this to a be very challenging, 15+ handicaps might have a difficult time playing this course.

This golf course is an incredible player in golf history. The price you pay is basically for the honor of playing where such history unfolded. Due to this, you may expect a grand clubhouse or luxurious facilities, which is not the case; The overall exterior before you start playing definitely feels like a local public golf course. ⛳️ However, once you begin your round, everything changes. This course was absolutely stunning. When thinking to the past, walking this course, no range finder or other high-tech assistance, it's shocking the sheer skill possessed by the players who competed and shot well below par. The elevation changes and overall slope was extremely intense. This is a round where you just need to enjoy the experience and not beat yourself up about how you play. If you have played Pinehurst no10 I'd say this course is more difficult for reference. We played from the yellow and I shot a 94.

Beautiful course, diabolical greens. A lot of elevated greens and all of the were quick...All of them. The 18th green, when the pin iis n the back, is nearly impossible to hold. There's a reason for the bailout greenside left , use it. From tee to green, what you see is what you get. No tricks, no unfair blind shots. Of the two blind tee shots, the fairways were wide open. Not the course to play on a 90+ degree day. If you have a high handicap, this not the place to be courageous you will get Ross'd. If you're unfamiliar with that term don't worry you'll learn in soon The par 5, 15th, in the picture. is reachable in two. It's no gimmie birdie but you can score here, lick your wounds and regain some confidence in your clubs!!! Enjoy and Good Luck.

Golf course was in good condition. First time playing and had a great time. Partially due to the fact I aced hole 14 but aside from that overall a nice track. If you’ve played an D. Ross course before then you’ll know. Only real complaint would have been pace of play was fairly slow. Will be back.
