Great course at a great value. Staff was accommodating, greens were in a great condition, and the fairways were solid. There’s some brown spots but no issues with play. They did have construction on a par 5, but had no impact to the round (played on a week day too).

We have been to Longleaf twice. Once for Red, White and Blue and once for USkids worlds. We had an amazing experience both times. The staff is very accommodating to the youth golfers. Everything is easy to get to in Pinehurst so there should be no problems getting around. We can’t wait to get back out there. We are looking at camps at the academy this coming fall.

We had a group of 8 golfers travel to Pinehurst from Boston, Richmond, and Columbia, excited for a great day of golf. What we experienced at Longleaf Golf & Family Club was beyond disappointing—and frankly unacceptable for $150 per person. There were no real fairways—just brown, patchy ground with little to no grass. On multiple par 3 holes, we had to hit off mats, like we were at a driving range instead of a course charging premium rates. Even worse, the course had active construction happening throughout. We had to play around excavators, dump trucks, and heavy equipment in several areas. At one point, large construction vehicles were using the cart paths while we were trying to play. It wasn’t just frustrating—it felt unsafe. None of this was communicated ahead of time. Had we known the true conditions, we never would have booked. Instead, we paid full price for what was a severely compromised and substandard experience. The only positives: the gentleman who helped with our bags was outstanding, and the young woman at the turn was friendly and professional. They did their jobs well—but they couldn’t make up for the overall experience. If you’re considering playing here, I strongly recommend you do your homework first. This was not the Pinehurst golf experience we traveled for. #Pinehurst #GolfTrip #GolfReview #Disappointed #GolfLife

Nice course layout however not currently worth the price. They were unable to water the course (except for greens which were very nice) because of a damn break on the property. Clearly they are repairing given the construction on several holes. The reason for the two stars is given the lack of grass throughout the course, the conditions do not warrant charging over $120 a round.

Great layout, lots of undulations and elevation changes throughout the course. Patchy in a lot of areas but from what I’ve been told, the course has come a long way in the last few years.
