George Cobb's mid-century mountain routing sits in a high valley ringed by peaks, with cool air and firm turf ideal for walking. Renovations and regrassing have preserved Cobb's broad corridors while modernizing green construction. From the tips the course demands disciplined driving and crisp iron play, but multiple tee combinations make it welcoming. The putting surfaces are the defense—subtle tilts and false fronts that shed indifferent approaches. It's classic Carolina mountain golf without excessive gimmicks.

It was a breathtaking golf course. We had a great time playing croquet and golf there. We went when the leaves were just starting to change on the trees and it was so beautiful. The course was in great shape. The lunch was delicious also

A friendly membership and a beautiful croquet facility. The snack bar put out delicious food. The upstairs balcony was great for watching croquet and the room adjacent to it hosted a great cocktail party. The nibbles that they provided were delicious and afterwards I don't think anyone went out to dinner. The staff was wonderful.
