Description

Donald Ross's final design is a study in strategic restraint—elevated greens, thoughtful bunkering and classic short-grass runoffs. A 2020 restoration by Kyle Franz sharpened Ross's sightlines, expanded fairways and lengthened the course to modern championship yardage. The routing folds gracefully over a compact property, creating variety through green complexes rather than forced water carries. Fast, firm conditions are the ideal, and the test builds through an exacting closing stretch. The club's location close to downtown Raleigh adds rare accessibility for a course of this pedigree.

UNC Healthcare Championship was here this year, and I can tell the location is fantastic. The fields are very well maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Went to experience the Korn Ferry Tour. What a tremendous course! Meticulously kept and manicured. I've yet to play it but it certainly looks like a really tough course.
