Gil Hanse's nine-hole short course turns ten acres beside the main clubhouse into a fast, joyful loop devoted to the short game. Holes range from tiny pitch shots to mid-iron yardages, with bold bunkering and undulating greens that demand touch rather than power. It's intentionally casual - perfect for a warm-up round, families, or settling bets after a full-length course. The routing encourages creative ground play and multiple shot options on nearly every hole, so it stays fresh no matter how often you loop it. Set within steps of Pinehurst's hub, it captures the resort's heritage in a compact, smile-inducing package.

Such a fun little course at Pinehurst Resort. Honorary starter Ed is a gem and matched my wife and I up with some friendly locals. Great short game set up with some greens that are as difficult as #2. For full putter boy experience go barefoot 😂

Fantastic little 9 with tough bunkers and solid greens for the play this course gets. Starter said they do more than 100,000 rounds a year.

I loved the Cradle, great little par 3 to work on the short game. Once you are done, walk over to the putting green or the driving range to enjoy more golfing!

What an awesome play to play leisurely golf! Go bare foot and grab your favorite drink! Soak up the sun & listened to the music!

Great, fun par 3! Great value for the money, free replays if they have room. Friendly staff, good drinks. Greens are perfect. This is not to be missed if you are in the Pinehurst area!
