Pinehurst No. 1 is like the fun uncle of the Pinehurst family — maybe not the flashiest, but always a good time. The course let me spray the ball all over the place and still feel like I knew what I was doing. Greens rolled smoother than my putting stroke deserves, and the staff treated me way better than my scorecard did. Highly recommend if you want a round that’s historic, enjoyable, and forgiving enough to keep your ego intact.

Great place for golfing, now I've played #1 &#2 always friendly staff lots of people visiting here.

Don't let the yardage fool you as it plays just over 6000 yards from the back tees, this golf course gets tight on some holes and with ob all over the place with undulating greens for the yardage it can be all you want... Overall course condition October 2021 was in very good shape, can't wait to be back!!

I have been here many times since my early years, and my recent visit last week was no different! Still a very well maintained course that is just as fun to play! You even get to go by the horse stables at some point!

Great intro course to the Pinehurst options. Mostly easy layout with wide fairways and quick greens. A lot of the fairways on the back nine feed one way or another, so pay attention on your tee shot or they’ll roll to the sides.
