We were warned about the greens and the discounted rate, and that was fine; I can deal with putting on shag carpet. But the conditions didn't stop there. My grandfather was talking about his old war stories the other day, so I brought him here to give him an authentic flashback of what it felt like storming the beaches on D-Day. It’s truly amazing how much effort they put into the historical reenactment at every single tee box. Next time, I think I’ll skip the tees and just bring a rake and a beach chair; these tee boxes have so much potential to be a great playground, it’s just a shame they’re actually supposed to be for golf

I took a group of friends to this course this weekend, including one buddy who was only on his second round of golf ever. For $76 a head, we were hoping for at least playable conditions. What we got instead felt like the golfing equivalent of showing up to a fancy steakhouse and being served a shoe. The greens were shockingly bad — thicker and slower than a typical fairway that had been neglected for years. They were stitched together with random sod patches that looked like a blindfolded landscaper had attempted emergency hair plugs on a bald head at midnight. Putting became an exercise in frustration and dark comedy. One three-putt through what felt like an ocean of wheat grass cost me real money in our friendly bet. In all my years playing around Charlotte, these rank among the absolute worst greens I’ve ever seen. They didn’t just challenge your short game — they actively fought back. The tee boxes weren’t much better. They were more dirt and divots than grass, resembling a Double-A baseball pitcher’s mound after a three-day drought mixed with a demolition derby. Broken tees littered the ground like kindling — honestly, you could’ve gathered them up and built several decent homes for families in need. Even the final hole’s “water hazard” was basically a cruel joke: drier than a Sahara Desert aquifer during a record heatwave. It looked less like a water feature and more like the course had given up halfway through construction. Look, the company was fantastic and we still managed to laugh our way through the round. The social side saved what would otherwise have been a complete waste of time and money. But as an actual golf course? The conditions simply don’t come close to justifying the price. If you’re purely going for laughs with the boys and have extra patience (plus maybe your own portable turf), you might survive. For serious golf or decent value, though, there are much better options nearby. I won’t be back unless they pay me to play — and even then I’d probably bring my own greens. Strongly recommend looking elsewhere unless you enjoy golfing on comedy surfaces.

Condition of course: the back 9 is rough. Putting areas need a lot of TLC. I’m assuming they are waiting for the new grass to set. There was a lot of times on March 28 Saturday, where our group skipped putting because conditions were bad. But they need let customers know. Currently $72 minimum for weekend. For the price- idk Carts- excellent golf carts Staff- nice all around. Includes beverage woman , cart boys, club staff and Marshall - all great!

$72 for 3 unplayable greens and 15 greens that are rolling extremely slow is not a great deal. Many Tee-boxes are bone dry, rock solid with no grass. Bunkers are in good shape Overall good layout and potential to be a great track if they could give it some TLC. Not worth the price in the current state, better places to play until they fix the greens. Staff is generally very pleasant

This course is currently charging $75 per 18 and i have to say, Twin Valley in Wadesboro is in better shape. Every tee box was dead with next to no grass and the greens were like putting on 70’s shag carpet. The best thing about this course is their driving range but definitely not worth what they are charging.
