Another day, another course review. Shot 91 on a not terrible day, just some big numbers on particular holes. It's rare I give out 5s only because the criteria I set is particular. Usually it's value vs conditions. This course is one of my favorites despite being an hour drive. At $55, this is one of the best courses around, just a step down in condition vs private clubs. Tee boxes 4/5 - There are a couple tee boxes that have issues that brings this score down. A couple holes have shaded tee boxes that grass fails to grow good on. Fairways 4.5/5 - They're not perfect, but there aren't patches missing and the like. It's not super plush, but allows for good shots. Greens 4/5 - These greens are tricky because they are more on the soft side so they roll at a 9.5/10. The fringes are upkept enough to putt from. I managed to go without hitting into a bunker all day but they didn't look too tough, sand was fluffy. Layout 5/5 - This is a short course, even the tips are only 6300, but half the course is doglegs. Forced layups are also sprinkled throughout with some risk/reward holes you can opt to gamble for better position. My playing partner today got an eagle thanks to a gamble that paid off on the drivable par 4 7th. Amenities 4/5 - The range isn't that wide, but they have non range Taylormade balls which is nice. No pitching/chipping green, but there is a putting green. All in all, a worthy play especially for the price.

What a great experience! Gal in the pro shop super friendly! With Bermuda just about to green up the fairways were in awesome shape, greens were a little long but it’s that time of year so be it. Intriguing layout! Great vibe very laid back and a quiet environment. Will definitely play here over Zebulon CC no doubt about it.

A hidden gem!!! One of my favorites, the whole staff greeted me, the beverage cart lady was really nice, the starter was extremely nice, gave me words of wisdom. I absolutely love this place, the course is beatiful, deer walking across greens, even had a squirrel steal my peach off the golf cart. Top rated experience, golf carts the best around.

I have nothing but great things to say about this place and the staff with this being my first time playing this course. I was allowed to play as a single this morning (7am) and although they were redoing the cart paths and working on a few other holes I really enjoyed the course which is challenging. The greens and the cart GPS system is some of the best around. As for the staff, from Randy you setup ttime reservation, the young lady in the pro shop that’s retired, the cart guy and the two gentlemen that were riding around the course together, one was wearing a Blue Duke sweater were just down right awesome no matter how many times our paths crossed today. Heck even the contractors working on the course were nice. It’s really made me feel they appreciated my business unlike some of the other courses I play. Although I didn’t take advantage of it their practice area is really nice. I had such a good experience today I already have another ttime booked for Thursday and will add it to my summer rotation. I think everyone should give this course a try but plan accordingly as they have a lot of golf leagues and functions which is really nice.

Beautiful course. Very challenging and can be unforgiving. Greens looked great. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be returning! Hopefully next time, I'll keep more of my balls. Out of bounds can be troublesome 🤣⛳️
