First time playing the course based on a recommendation, since this is not listed on Golfnow. I'm not sure if it was because of the day or time of day, but it wasn't too busy. I almost got around without running into anybody as a single. Onto the review. Tee Boxes 4/5 - Most of the tee boxes were in good shape, one was under repair and couple others suffering from browning. Fairways 5/5 - I actually found alot of fairways today, and can say that they are in good shape. Plush enough for the ball to sit on and leave a solid surface. Greens 4/5 - Recently I've had issues with pace and have left putts short. These greens run at about a 10, with only a few holes having complex undulations. The back 9 was aerated recently but didn't affect the speed or line too much. There were some greens with noticeable balding. Rough 4/5 - I was in the rough a bit but didn't suffer. Depending on the hole, some rough was thick and your ball would sink in, but most had the ball sit on top. Bunkers 4/5 - I was in a couple bunkers, the fairway bunker sand is a firmer red sand while greenside bunkers are softer white sand. Layout 5/5 - This course requires you to use GPS or a yardage book. There are a number of blind shots, or forced layups. The aesthetic is great, with nice houses bordering some holes. Hole shapes vary, and some elevation changes require some planning ahead. Amenities 4/5 - Speaking or blind shots, the entire range goes downhill so you can't even really see where your ball lands, but the mats are nice and not hard. There is grass, it was just closed today. There is a chipping/putting green, but no practice bunker. Overall, I really enjoyed the course. It could do with a bit more signage, but for less than $50 it was well worth it.

We have played here a number of times, but the customer service and the overall maintenance of the course has started to keep us from coming back. It almost feels as if we are bothering the pro shop staff and people "working" on the course whenever we come. Greens are in excellent shape, but there are large patches of sod all dried out around the course. Definitely needs some work.

Was not made aware of greens being airated 3 days before tee time. Starter came down to us on the FIRST HOLE hitting are third shot after having to wait on a group to tell us to pick up pace of play (For golfers walking behind us) other than that great course and great views and times

Nice course, stopped here on a recommendation from a friend, on my way to Georgia with 3 others for a golf trip. Played Sapona on 3/25 from the white tees. Greens were fabulous and fast. The course had a nice, fair layout with some fun holes. Proshop staff were friendly and helpful. Had a good meal in the restaurant. Everything was reasonably priced. I have no complaints at all, Sapona met or exceeded my expectations.

Course is very challenging, great conditions, and reasonable price. What I was not a fan of, when I made my tee time, I was not informed that there was a 5 man member member tournament coinciding with my time. Me and my Father played as a two some, and the members did not allow us to play through. We teed off around 3:30, and decided to call it quits on Hole 15 around 7:30.
