Course was in great shape from tee box to green views at the first couple of holes are nice....staff was great only reason for 4 star is range was 6iron max but balls to come with green fee...and the fee I've played a LOT NICER for less I realize it's a resort but it's at least $30 over priced....it's tight in a lot of places...there are a couple of holes that make u scratch your head as to the layout....if this course was $60-65 I'd play it every day

Great layout. Particularly the back nine. Some really challenging holes. Greens were in great condition at this time of year. Fairways and rough seemed to be still growing in after the winter. Some of the tees need a good overhaul as they were a bit ropey. Overall though a really enjoyable course to play. I think i'd feel the benefit playing it a second time but unfortunately I'm off back to the UK tomorrow.

What a beautiful golf course! The front 9 was certainly easier than the back 9. The front was a bit more open while the back was narrow, and you need some precise irons/woods play...my hope is that I can come play it again someday after learning the course a bit better...the only gripe I had with the course was quite a few ball marks on the greens that players were not fixing - just some people not knowing golf etiquette I guess...that's not necessarily in the staff's control and there were plenty of reminder signs to "Repair ball marks"...maybe the clubhouse can go over how to fix a ball mark before people go off on the course...Otherwise, awesome course! Enjoyed my round!

Stayed with our golf group on property and it was great! The golf course has great views and the course is in amazing shape. The Starbucks on site is a great idea along with excellent food in the other two onsite venues.

Sept 2024 Senior, played with a member, blue tees (6,225 / 71.2 / 135 ) Mountain golf that has several unique holes & multiple elevation changes. Fairways & greens in great shape. Greens hold - fire at pins! Front more open than back but plenty of water & tree trouble lurk. Hitting fairways is key to a great round. Surrounded by Lake Lure mountains- it’s quiet, affordable & relaxing! Staff very friendly & welcoming.
