Quiet little course out near Crowders Mountain — and that’s its biggest selling point. It’s peaceful in a way a lot of courses aren’t. No backups, no carts stacked up behind you, just space to actually play. The views are better than what you’d expect from a course at this price point too; you get the mountain backdrop on a few holes and it genuinely makes a difference. There are some good shaded spots out there as well, which is clutch on a hot day when you need a minute out of the sun between holes. That said, the conditioning is hit or miss. The grass isn’t kept up the way it should be — fairways are patchy in spots and you can tell the maintenance budget isn’t huge. The greens are soft and fluffy, almost shaggy, so putts come up short more often than you’d like and the ball doesn’t roll out clean. If you’re someone who needs pristine conditions, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you’re looking for a relaxed round where you can play your own pace and enjoy being outside, it’s worth the stop.

Agree on other reviews that the greens are terrible. But I played the front 9 for $15 with cart included (very reasonable). And the holes I played were fun, challenging layouts with nice long par 5s, difficult over water par 3s, and uphill par 4s to finish the hole. So good driver, irons, and chip shots to practice. I would play again, I'd like a second chance on some of the harder holes especially the challenging par 3s.

Enjoyed a great day at Crowders mountain. Course is paid laid out so good. Lots of unique holes. Rates were great and nice staff. Greens were in great shape, the rest of the course was as expected for early spring. Would love to come back and play again someday.

Really enjoyed playing here. Very laid back and chill atmosphere. Beautiful views, tucked back off the road. Liked the course layout and the back 9 is definitely not the easiest but not terrible. Just needs a little work in places and it could be a really awesome course. Overall good course with great views and fun times.

Played Crowder Mountain golf course today, also played last summer. I agree last summer the course was in terrible condition, but today was a complete 360. Greens were phenomenal, true and fast. Considering its early March fairway were decent. Complement the owners for making vast improvements. Would definitely play again (been playing this course for over 50 years, started playing when I was 12, where my dad taught me how to play. Recommend you give it a try.
