I’m from the central part of NC and play a lot of $40-50 courses, this course by far is well worth the money. The tee boxes were nice and flat, fairways were easy to take a beaver tail, if that’s your swing. Sand provided to fill in divots. Restrooms along the course of play. Only found 1 green that needs attention which was really not a big issue overall. Bunkers need sand replenishment. Being from out of town staff explained course layout before which was a plus. If anyone is looking for a good course in the $ range mentioned above, well I can personally recommend this place. Enjoy your round and hit’em straight

Olde Point Country Club is one of my favorite places to play. The course is always enjoyable, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. It's a fun, well-designed course that's challenging without being frustrating. I always look forward to coming back.

The course layout is good with some management needed on some holes which I like. Can’t just grab driver for everything. Some fairways are tight and you need to hit a good tee shot to get in the fairway. A few of the greens are in rough shape but should get better as they work on it. The greens were a little slow the day I went but that could’ve been due to the amount of rain the days prior and hadn’t had a chance to cut and roll them just yet. Staff was friendly and clubhouse gave an old caddyshack vibe. Overall I’d come back for an afternoon round.

Played golf here on our recent trip to Topsail Island. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and everyone was kind and courteous. I really enjoyed the golf course! Some really great holes and found it in a lot better shape than some of the recent reviews. Stopped into the bar for a post round beer… bartender and patrons were fantastic. Give this place a shot when visiting the Island. I’ll definitely be revisiting again next year.

Was looking forward to playing golf on a group trip. Greens were uncut, tee boxes were in bad shape, and workers were not the friendliest. The price is cheap for a reason. The food is very delicious. In the back nine, a person a part of our group threw a club high in the air- granted this should not have been done. The ranger greeted our group (in front of us) cussing them out. We felt being kicked off the course was reasonable; however cussing out minors was not necessary. Upon driving back to the club house, we were greeted again, and cussed out by the man running the desk. Once again, kicking us out was reasonable but we felt highly disrespected being cussed out. Especially when we are not cussing you out. I understand the persona with teens on a golf course, but it's okay to greet everyone respectfully especially when we've paid 600$ TOTAL to your club for the day from all of us. 25 dollar riding fee as well- 50$ for two people watching . Look to other courses first, Iron Clad and Castle Bay have always been great courses and workers are very friendly. Notice the responses to the comments as well.
