Forest Oaks is a phenomenal public course located in Greensboro, North Carolina with a lot of history. The course has the distinction of having hosted the Greater Greensboro Open on the PGA Tour from 1977 to 2007. The course features wide fairways and large fast greens with severely undulating slopes making approach shot accuracy vital to recording a good score. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and made for an enjoyable round.

Absolutely loved playing at Forest Oaks. Even though it was a little wet and cart path only, it didn’t take away from the gem that it is. I don’t think I’ve ever had that much fun playing a course for the first time. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back.

One of my favorite local golf courses. In fabulous condition. Friendly reception always. Free bottles of water was a nice surprise this time. I’ll be back.

This course is nice and I have played it occasionally a couple times a year for about 15-20 years. The first thing I want to say is the carts are awful. It shuts off anywhere and everywhere I mean if you go 75 yard near the green it makes you reverse and even in the rough it just shuts off. Literally every hole the cart shut off and made me reverse and I have never had that happen in the thousands of rounds of golf I have played. I’m not sure if that is new because I was here last year and it wasn’t like that. The other thing that got to me was the club I was served with one piece of turkey on it. 15 dollars and you let the cooks put one piece of deli meat on a sandwich with 3 pieces of bread. The course was in great condition and the aerated greens were fine but the carts and restaurant need some work for sure. If the course wasn’t in decent shape it would be zero stars
