One of my favorite golf courses to play on NC. Great staff, well maintained course. I love playing here with my business partners and future customers.

I’ve been playing at Goldsboro Golf Course on and off for years, but lately I’ve been out there multiple times a week. It’s a solid local course with a fun layout — Hole 13 is my personal favorite, with an uphill approach that keeps you honest. Fairways are wide enough to be forgiving, and you’ll even get the occasional visit from the curious fox squirrels (watch your snacks — they’ll climb right into your cart if you’re not careful). The course definitely has its quirks. Greens can be hit or miss depending on the time of year, and some of the bunkers are packed a little firm, but it’s nothing that ruins the round. If I had to nitpick, the cart paths could use a little maintenance — hit a bump the wrong way and you might lose a club or drink. Membership is worth it if you’re playing at least once or twice a week. The value is great for what you get. The driving range is pretty basic but works if you just want to get some swings in. The chipping and putting areas are well-kept, and the clubhouse staff are always friendly. The pro shop is small, but it has the essentials. Food-wise, don’t expect much — just a hot dog roller and some drinks and snacks — but that’s pretty standard for a small-town course. All in all, it’s a reliable, no-frills course with some real personality. Definitely recommend it if you're local or just passing through.

I love the course. The only negative is they tend to keep the greens too wet. Approach shots plug and the mowers create mud craters around the greens.

Played here in a tournament recently. From the moment I arrived, everything was top-notch—the staff were welcoming, the course was in pristine condition, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet professional. Every hole was thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect balance of challenge and playability. The greens were fast and true, fairways were perfectly manicured, and the entire layout made for a truly enjoyable round. This course is a standout. Whether you’re local or visiting, don’t miss the chance to play here. I’ll absolutely be back soon! Such a pretty course, oh and the superintendent was the nicest guy and cute!

Today was a bad day for me score wise, but that won't impact my honest review. I shot 94 from the tips very bad driving day. As always I will break down the different aspects of the course. Practice facilities 4/5 -The only thing missing was a bunker to hit out of. There is a range with great grass, and a sizable putting green. Tee boxes 4/5 - There weren't many that were in rough shape, two holes had the tips away from the others tucked away that made it difficult to know where to go initially Fairways 4/5 - While I wasn't in the fairways often today, when I was I had no complaints. There were no sand bottles given, despite that the fairways weren't pock marked to hell and was full and lush. Greens 3/5 -I did hit some greens today, one was even a par 4 from the drive (managed to stumble into a 3 putt par). The issue with the greens was the pace and condition. There were some bare spots and patching. Not sure if there was an aeration done in the past couple weeks but these greens rolled at an 8. Even downhill putts would stop quickly after descending. The fringe areas were trimmed to where you could comfortably putt from them. Layout 4/5 - There were a good mix of hole shapes and some drivable par 4s mixed in. Water was in play strategically on some holes that made planning important. Overall it's a good play for the price range. If you get your speed right on the greens you will be set, as that was the only thing about the course that was holding it back. There's even wildlife, saw several foxes.
