A 27-hole mountain retreat with three distinct nines (North, West, South) routed through valley floors and gentle ridges just south of Asheville. Edmund Ault's 1967 design uses broad landing areas framed by mature hardwoods to invite driver while subtly defending angles into smallish greens. Water surfaces on several approach shots, and elevation changes add a half-club throughout. Conditioning is consistent with bentgrass greens and bermuda surrounds. A full practice range and short-game areas make it popular for buddy trips.

On vacation played a round it was 10 minutes from air bnb for the price it’s 12/10 greens are manicured and tee boxes are even can’t ask for more. Coming from a country club in Nashville I don’t rate courses generously unless they deserve it. Give it a try has all the distance you need for any level. Polite staff and carts are brand new. Will be back!

Booked a t time through their website and find out a month later I was charged $9.96 from GOLF NOW for a reservation fee. When I brought that to the attention of the golf shop they told me 'they have nothing to do with it....that's the online reservation system...that's on you!' They took no responsibility for not being transparent about that on their website. DON'T BOOK ONLINE and DON'T GO THERE

We loved our stay! We stayed in 2 connecting rooms. We are avid golfers and played 18 holes both days. Loved the access to the tavern to grab a drink and some food after playing 9 holes. Golf courses are beautiful and competitive! Everything was very convenient, pro shop to get balls to hit before our tee time was a nice perk and we had to rent a set of golf clubs, they were so accommodating. Loved all the staff in the restaurant, pro shop, and on the golf course. They made us feel right at home! Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!!

A group from my job came up from Georgia to help with hurricane Helene clean up and we stayed at the resort which was closed but we were able to stay in the rooms and it was absolutely perfect! We had come from Cascades in Hendersonville which was unsatisfactory is all I'll say. When we got out to Etowah I got a room it was very nice everything was spotless the beds were perfect and they have the best towels ever! My room actually had like a little closet it has two sinks one inside the restroom and one outside the restroom. It's a really nice place and they're working on it to open in March of 2025. The golf greens are beautiful though. If I lived in that area or if I was traveling I would like I'd stay there again.
