Locals know The Pines for its pine-lined corridors, quick A1/A4 bentgrass greens and a classic Carolina rhythm. The course dates to 1947 and was comprehensively re-routed and renovated by Tom Clark in the mid-2000s. Elevated greens and wide chipping areas demand crisp wedges and deft touch around the hole. Wind from the nearby Albemarle Sound can add a club, especially on exposed approach shots. A solid practice area and friendly staff round out a value-rich coastal golf stop.

Great views of the golf course! Awesome service and a lovely lunch. No wait. We enjoyed the Focaccia Bread and the Club Sandwich with Waffle fries. The server was very nice and on point with the suggestions for our lunch. My Focaccia plate was garnished with little flowers and clover, very nice! The Club Sandwich and waffle fries was impressive! We so enjoyed our visit. We will be back soon!

My first time there , I only played 9 holes but I will be going back to do all 18. Friendly people and well maintained.

The course is basically wide open and easy to play. Just enough trees separate the fairways to give direction but not so many that it makes difficult to lose a ball! In addition, and equally important the staff is friendly and helpful!

Played 9 holes with cart and was very happy with the experience. Scenery is top notch , layout is interesting, and carts are very nice. Very nice merch in pro shop. Will absolutely be back.
