This place stinks! $35 for the worst 9 holes I’ve ever played. Tee boxes are unkept and often missing markers. Fairways are dirt and rocks. Survive all that and you end up on greens that have weeds growing through them and massive bald patches of exposed sand. I can see why it’s wide open on a sunny weekend afternoon.

Just played a round and I have to admit, the course is looking a lot better. Fairways are filling in, as are the greens. You can actually start to see a difference between fairway and rough. Tee boxes are visible as well. Staff has always been friendly. Overall, the course is showing great improvement from last year! Keep it up.

I've been playing this course for the past 3-4 years and it has improved vastly in that time. Played there today and was amazed with how far it's come. A lot more grass in places that were dirt and the greens looked and played the best they have since I've been playing there. It's not perfect but you can tell someone really cares about making this course a great place to play. The staff are friendly. I've taken lessons from the pro in the shop, Paul Hatcher. He really knows his stuff and keeps it fun and entertaining. I recommend him to anyone who says they are thinking of taking lessons. Keep up the good work, Westport!

Westport Golf is coming along. I played here early spring and again in August. It's great to see the work on fairways and greens. It is not perfect, but for $35 we had a fun round on the back nine. I would say this course offers a challenge to stay in the fairway and manage dogleg holes. We found it to be a fun round to work on short uphill approach shots. We were able to book a tee time same day, pro shop gave us the option to play front or back, and after a long work day it was just easy and relaxed. If you're expecting perfect conditions you will be disappointed, but if you're looking for a laid back round Wesptort deserves a try. Can't wait to see future growth here.

Selfishly I didn’t want to post this review so people don’t make the course busy but the truth must come out! I played this course as a birthday round to myself and it was in great condition. I’d say 16 of the 18 greens were perfect. The tee boxes had great angles and solid footing. The fairways had some tough spots but overall as long as you’re not playing out of the woods edge you’re not going to have any issues! The course is fun, not the most challenging operation and keeps pace moving very quick. We played 18 holes in just about 3 and a half hours with a group in front of us! There’s also the most gentle giant of a dog in the clubhouse and the food and drinks are super cheap! This course seems to get a lot of hate but it really doesn’t deserve any of it. I think people who played this a couple years ago need to come back and anyone who hasn’t played needs to come by because this might be new go to course!
