Description

Rock Creek is a classic coastal-plain test laid over gently moving ground north of Jacksonville. Jerry Turner's design gives you room from the tee, then tightens near the greens with bunkers and subtle fall-offs. Wind often factors into club selection on the longer par-4s. From the blue tees it can stretch to over 7,100 yards, but forward tees keep the course fun for all. It's a straightforward, well-priced round with a few sneaky birdie chances.

Rock Barn Spa ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment I walked in the door, Katherine made me feel so welcome and accommodated every need with such warmth and professionalism. The entire staff was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to creating a relaxing experience. My massage therapist, Stormy, was outstanding! He made sure I was comfortable and delivered one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Becky, the young lady who serves the food and drinks, even remembered me from my last visit—she is also amazing and adds such a personal, caring touch to the experience. I’ve been here more than five times, and every visit has been consistently excellent. The atmosphere is peaceful, the team is top-notch, and every massage therapist I’ve encountered has been wonderful. Rock Barn Spa continues to exceed my expectations, and that’s why I keep coming back. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares about your experience, this is it.

two different courses. one is public. the other one is private. both are very challenging in different ways. the Jones course is the big boy course. that's where they play the tournaments but that's members only. The other course, Jackson is actually very challenging but pretty nice in terms of learning skills. there's some pretty tricky holes - The first hole can be discouraging. It's across a scruffy area then pretty much straight up a hill and not a lot of room for error. Ninth hole is a tough, downhill and have to land on the green - the whole course is fun and challenging. Most definitely both courses are worth the play. Jones (members only) can be a little rough if there's been a recent tournament as it will get pretty chopped up until they get everything restored. Services are great, people are very friendly. Restaurants on site are very good and they do do a wonderful brunch. I don't know much about the rooms that are available but have heard they're very nice. They're distinctly separate from the club itself so I've actually never stayed because I live in Hickory which is only about a 25-minute drive.

Shared a girl spa day with my daughter to celebrate her birthday and bride-to-be pre wedding break. It was quite nice. We liked the water features and our therapists were kind and professional.

I had an incredible deep tissue massage with Stormy on Saturday. I went in with low expectations for relief from my lower back pain, having been taking ibuprofen daily for almost three weeks. Stormy stretched my spinal cord and hips in a way that has given me complete relief for three days now! He explained what he was doing throughout the session and offered helpful recommendations. I’m beyond pleased with the results—it was worth every penny.

Me and friend’s first time here, had lunch at the cafe where the guy behind the bar was less than friendly. I asked what’s good and he replied “the menu I made it”. After we got our food never once asked how it was. Was hoping for a better golf experience but the greens were absolute trash. For $85 it should be much better. Only plus to the course was the fairways and bunkers were pretty nice. I guess if you wanna pay $85 to look at pretty houses this might be your course. And apparently no one here fixes their ball marks on the greens. I was fixing 3 or more per hole.
