Description

The Pearl is a Dan Maples designed 27-hole complex set along the Calabash River marsh, with three distinct nines: East, West, and North. East leans parkland with tree-framed corridors; West showcases the river with bold vistas; and North blends the two personalities. Since 2019 the property has featured MiniVerde ultradwarf greens and a refreshed presentation, and the club rotates 18-hole combinations daily. A full practice range sits beside the North nine, making it easy to warm up before you tackle the wind shaped approach shots. Representative back tee numbers for the facility's primary 18 are ~7,006 yards, par 72, with a 73.2/132 rating/slope.

Just finished a big big golf trip in the Myrtle Beach area and without a doubt this was by far the best place I have played for the money. I would highly recommend it over the absorbent prices of some of the other Myrtle courses. this was easily comparable and a third the price. Not to mention, we literally were about the only group on the golf course at 8:00 a.m. on a Sunday. Very Serene and tranquil beautiful views! Club House was a little outdated but from my understanding it's one of the older courses in the area. the pro shop was actually really nice with lots of great merchandise selections! food wasn't all that great but for the price. hard to complain. everyone was hospitable and again, if you're looking for a really good round of golf for extremely reasonable prices, this is definitely the place to go!

Bad experience at Pearl Golf links, shame on them. I brought a party of 8, the course was in deplorable condition. That’s not so bad, this happens. The issue I had is I called 2 months in advance to ask if they would be aerated or if we would be experiencing any other project, or work on the course. The answer was no, it would be in good shape, nothing could have been further from the truth. We weren’t allowed to ride the carts in ANY fairway, they were doing a ‘reseeding.’ We played off dirt. The greens were recovering from some type of ‘punching/dragging’ which made putting a nightmare. Again, I know these things occur, and need to be done, but you should have had the courtesy to tell us, we would have respectfully booked another course. By the way, to top it off, no discounts were offered. They got their money, 8 green fees and 8 cart fees, at full price. We will never spend another dime at this place. #thePearl #beware

First timers. Had a great time hitting balls and talking to the pro shop guy. Hubby and I decided to stop into the restaurant for a beverage. I know it’s Christmas Eve, but the young lady was clearly not happy to be there. We tried to talk to her and…nothing. She left for the pro shop and another guy sat for several minutes until I walked over to the pro shop to tell her she had a customer. It would have been a perfect experience if she had been friendly at all. We said Merry Christmas as we walked out, and didn’t even get one back.

This was my first visit to The Pearl and I really enjoyed my time. I had to rent clubs and everyone at the Pro Shop and Clubhouse were all very welcoming and helped get me going for 18 holes of golf. The links were beautiful and well maintained. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area looking to play some golf. Thanks, everyone at The Pearl for a fun day.

Underrated, sneaky quality golf. Some of the best greens we played. Layout is excellent. With some investment could be one of the best 27-hole facilities in the region...just a little scruffy, beat up and tired, but bones are top notch. Clubhouse needs a full reno...musty with 80s vibe. Staff was great though. Will be back for sure.
