Description
The East Course at Bermuda Run is the original Ellis Maples design that anchored the private community west of Winston-Salem. Routing moves through gently rolling Piedmont terrain with mature hardwoods framing corridors and subtle elevation changes influencing club selection. Greens are defended by classic Maples bunkering and angled approaches that reward shaping the ball both ways. A later refresh by Ed Seay and Dan Maples tightened risk-reward lines while preserving member playability. Members value the contrast between East and West—East as the broader, more traditional test that still asks for precise placement off the tee.
