A beautiful course to play and enjoy the scenery and views. I had been on a mission to play all of the Myrtle Beach area courses during my many vacations there. I had put off playing Bald Head Island due to the need to take a ferry there. Needless to say, once I finally made the trip it was well worth the extra effort!

As a guest pass holder, this private club is a great place to visit if you take the time to read the policy and pay attention to important details. They kindly allow qualified guests to purchase a temporary pass to access the amenities. If you’re planning to be a guest, please make sure to thoroughly read the instructions and information on their website. It’s a beautiful place!

My family and I come to Bald Head Island every year. This year we decided to get the BHI guest membership for a week. We are extremely disappointed. The club was clearly built a while ago, the exterior such as the pool and the roof are aged and grimy. Guests are only allowed in the section with the younger children, which is a small shallow pool. The worst part: the restaurants. Both of our experiences at the Palm and Horizons were horrible. If we had known that the restaurants were so bad, we would have just stayed with Shoals Club. We all got a simple fried seafood basket at Horizons. It was disgusting. I’ve truly never had such horrible fried shrimp and fish. We also played golf, while it was a nice course, it was EXTREMELY expensive per person. If you have a choice: choose Shoals Club.

My family and I had a poor experience with a course marshal when playing the golf course. This issue was brought up with Andy K, the Director of Golf, who immediately rectified the situation. The course is beautiful, and its an added bonus to experience great customer service. Well done to Andy and the proshop team

Grandson is learning to play golf, and the instruction provided by the pros here is second to none. Miss Abby, in particular, is excellent with kids. Course in good shape!
