Description

A short, walkable nine tucked on the grounds of the Crowne Plaza resort, this par-34 layout is ideal for warm-up rounds or fun family golf. Elevation changes and small, subtly contoured greens give it bite despite the modest yardage. The resort setting keeps conditions consistent and adds easy access to amenities before and after your round. An iron-friendly driving range and practice areas make it a convenient place to tune up the swing. Designed in the 1970s by William B. Lewis, it feels like a snapshot of classic mountain-town golf - compact, friendly, and scenic.

Love this hotel! The lobby fireplace is amazing! Coffee is outstanding. Fantastic lunch and dinner menu. Highly recommend the strawberry fields salad, and salmon! The staff is super, very nice, down-to-earth. Pets are welcome. Workout room is great, plus you have the option of walking/running on the trails.

This hotel was a stop along the way home. We booked this mainly for the fact that it's was pet friendly and we were traveling with our senior dog. Check in went well, the front desk lady was kind and helpful. I completed my pet contract and was notified of the $35 pet fee. No biggie, probably missed it on the hotel page. The main areas of the property are beautiful. The lobby and event space has been upgraded. The upgrades seem to stop there. The rooms were pretty basic and out of date. Could definitely use some love and modernization. There was a funky smell like it was once a smoking hotel that still has some of the smell lingering. We didn't spend a ton of time at the hotel as we had an obligation. The problems really began once we were trying to settle in and go to bed with. There was a dog across the hall from us that barked non-stop. I got a call shortly after from the kind front desk, asking if all was well as people were reporting barking dogs. I explained it wasn't coming from our room but shared with her the room number. I was hoping for some resolution after that but they must not have been able to track down the owner. The dog barked until 10pm. This was problematic with having a 4 year old travel with us. I heard people yelling "shut up" in the hall so it wasn't just us. I would reconsider staying here if you want a good night sleep, or ask for a room on the 2nd floor. They said reservations with dogs go on the first floor so they can walk out easily from the patio (which was nice!) note the photos of an inside pool are OLD, and no longer there. There is an outside pool but was closed with it being winter.

So many ways that they ruined my rare opportunity to have a vacation. I specifically requested a microwave for my room and was told that I would be able to request one since they had no kitchen. So I get there with a bunch of microwavable food that I bought so I could regulate my blood sugar and they basically denied my request for a microwave which caused me to have to pay $40 per meal that I was not financially prepared for. They even gave me directions to use a microwave that didn't exist. Additionally, how about the fact that before checkout, they took my $1200 worth of medication out of my fridge for an unknown amount of time rendering it ruined. And it ruined my day to have to ask for my stuff back that they would not have been in my room touching to begin with. They also stole my syringes so I ended up getting in an accident trying to drive to the hospital. I called the hotel the morning I checked out and confirmed that checkout was at 11... They had put their hands all over my food that I paid good money for. Overall they will not only be receiving a 1-star rating but a lawsuit as well. Oh an additionally they had me walking around doing annoying stuff during my vacation time. You couldn't have paid me to stay here if I'd known how it was going to go. Although I will say, they front desk staff was very nice.

Great hotel, great staff, great beds. Very clean rooms. Nothing to complain about. I didn’t like the in house dinner options at the restaurant but the breakfast buffet was great. I was there for a dance convention and the hotel staff was very accommodating of all of us and our strange ways.

This was an exceptional experience. When we walked into the spacious room, I told my partner it smelled like Asheville, which is great because it didn't smell like musty hotel. The lobby is gorgeous, but we didn't try the restaurant since we there only for the night. We did have a broken Keurig, but they sent a new one to the room immediately since I cannot function without coffee. The price for this place was surprising considering the amenities, and we'll definitely book it again.
