Love playing the back nine on this course, front nine is still not open so all I can comment on is the back nine. Staff is great very laid back. Greens are slow but in good shape. Fairways are good but narrow on some holes. Took us 2 hours on a busy Sunday so not bad. Go play this course when in ashville for sure.

This used to be a course I frequented all the time, but since hurricane Helene in 2024, they've only had 9 holes open. Understandable. What isn't super understandable is that those 9 are probably some of the least taken care of holes in all of WNC. It's fine and has never bothered me because it was always super affordable at around $40'ish. The course is absolutely worth that and I have zero second thoughts about paying that. In fact, it's lead me to play here more times than any other course. New for the 2026 season is a price hike that takes your 9-hole experience up to $68 with a cart. I mean, what on planet earth were you guys thinking raising them that high? Half the course is shut down and the side that isn't is... well, not worth $70, that's for sure. For that, I'll pick any other Asheville course. They'll be cheaper and more importantly they'll have 18 holes. Extremely disappointing.

I realy love this rag tag course, it’s my home course. It’s no TPC, but it’s in pretty good shape good shape, and the greens are well tended, but the staff is the heart of this place. You won’t find a nicer more welcoming staff at a municipal course. You can’t beat $18 for a walking round, and the free hitting net is a real plus.

Helene washed out the front nine so for now, you play the back nine twice. For what it’s worth, the back nine has always been more interesting/fun than the front, with the Donald Ross design really shining here. Green condition is quite good. Prices are a bit high for a municipal course, and membership rates are in my opinion exorbitant. Fun fact: A temporary frisbee golf course has been established on the front nine while repairs continue.

This was our first time to play the course and we had heard good things about it. First our GPS didn’t take us to the Clubhouse. So it was trickier to get there. We played on Saturday as a 3-some and they had a single play with us which was good. The starter is good at pairing up golfers and getting players out close to their tee time. It was BUSY so pace of play was slow. Especially the front nine. The front nine is a valley course with parallel fairways. On the front the course was in rough shape - fairways are as rough as the rough. The greens were good on the front nine mostly flat with some terrain. The back nine is a totally different course. Here are elevation changes, long par-3’s and plenty of challenges. A fun back nine. It was a 5 hour round of golf on this busy Saturday. We waited a lot on the front nine. Distance markers would be very helpful. Luckily it was nice weather.
