It part of the Westchester 6 golf courses. I preferred the back nine. It a bit of a challenge for those who learning. Lay out is good greens in good shape.

Mohansic is a fun, challenging track. The firm greens make it play tougher than the yardage and force you to really think through approach shots and landing areas.

DO NOT GOLF HERE. We played 18 holes here on a Saturday and not only were we backed up 25 min, the sprinklers turned on on every hole on the back 9. When I brought this up to the pro whose name is “Joe” he said there’s nothing he can do about it. The other manager said “then don’t golf in the summer”. If you’re looking for a slow round and to get wet, this is your course!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Without question, one of the worst golf course experiences I’ve ever had. We arrived on time for our tee time, only to sit around waiting nearly 20 minutes before we were allowed to tee off. No explanation, no apology, and no acknowledgment from staff. Apparently, customer service is an afterthought here. Things went from bad to ridiculous when the sprinklers turned on while we were playing. We got soaked, our equipment got soaked, and water ended up damaging my phone’s charging port. A completely preventable issue caused by poor course management. What was even more frustrating was the response afterward. When I brought up the damage and asked about reimbursement, I was met with indifference. Not a refund, not a credit, not even a sincere apology. Just a shrug and a “not our problem” attitude. Joe, the PGA Pro, was especially disappointing. You would expect the head golf professional to care about the customer experience and take ownership when something goes wrong. Instead, he was dismissive, unhelpful, and seemed far more interested in avoiding responsibility than resolving a legitimate complaint. This course charges premium prices but delivers bargain-bin service. Delayed tee times, sprinklers blasting golfers during play, damaged personal property, and management that couldn’t care less. The condition of the course doesn’t matter when the people running it treat customers this poorly. Save your money and play literally anywhere else.

This is a five with a couple of asterisks. The strengths were so strong that they overcame the asterisks. The check in staff was great. A sense of humor with a sense of humanity. Simply good people enjoying life with great communication skills. The course is a beauty. It has a nostalgic feel with a beautiful layout. So the the range is closed! They are upgrading it folks. No complaints there. I needed something to eat but only took cash until later in the day! Nostalgia is wonderful until you need food and don’t carry cash. They have a debit machine. Come on it’s 2026!!! You are losing money, get with it!!! Asterisks #2. This course has gold tees on a couple of holes. It’s long for a a wounded super senior (76) who used to be long and now can’t come close to reaching some par fours. Put the gold tees out there. Don’t be afraid, age is a thing and senior golfers deserve better than that. Just put the Goldie’s out there. All in all this course is so worth playing! I loved it and I am picky! Joe Rothenberg
