My favorite place ever! My husband and I got married here in December and it was absolutely perfect. Planning the wedding was stress free from the day we decided to get married here. Everyone that worked with us was super accommodating and pleasant. The food was delicious during both cocktail hour and dinner. The waiters and bartenders were so friendly. There was not one negative thing we could say about Smithtown Landing!! Plus we go golfing here at the par 3 almost every week cause the course is always well maintained and perfect for beginner golfers. If you are looking for a venue, definitely consider Smithtown Landing! We couldn’t have had a better experience with them.

The Smithtown Landing Golf Course is an absolutely beautiful and well-maintained course that offers a unique blend of natural scenery and playability. What immediately stands out is how peaceful the setting is—it feels tucked away, yet it’s easily accessible. It is an 18-hole regulation municipal course open to the general public. From what I understand, it is also described as a public facility with standard greens fees, not membership dues. The course itself is thoughtfully designed, with rolling fairways, mature trees, and well-kept greens that make for an enjoyable round whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just looking to relax outdoors. One of the highlights during my visit was the abundance of wildlife—there were deer throughout the property, which added to the overall experience and made it feel more like a nature preserve than a typical golf course. The views are what truly set this location apart. The nearby clubhouse overlooks the Nissequogue River, and the scenery is stunning. It’s the kind of place where you could easily make a full day—or even a weekend—out of your visit. Any event would be ideal just to take in the surroundings and enjoy everything the area has to offer. The setting is so beautiful it feels like it should be a boutique hotel. They offer full catering for all occasions. Pricing is event-based (per person or package), not nightly like a hotel. Please contact them for pricing. Overall, this is a beautiful course with a tranquil atmosphere, scenic views, and a memorable setting. Definitely worth a visit, even if you’re just there to take in the landscape.

Smithtown Landing Golf and Country Club is a truly pleasant public course. The grounds are maintained exceptionally well, and the course can be somewhat challenging. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They provide excellent pricing. I look forward to playing again.

A good time was had by all. On the 16th some drunk guy stumbled onto our tee box and tossed us all beers, did a little salsa dance, played Piano Man on a harmonica and road off on a unicycle. Lunacy. Made our whole day.

Course is in terrible shape, especially around greens. No idea how this has 4.4 stars. This is a 3 star course at best. Greens have crab grass growing in them and there is zero fringe at all, just dirt and crab grass. Also cost $45 for 9 holes lol where is the money going exactly?
