Having recently played Saratoga National Golf Club, it stands out as one of New York’s premier public-access courses. Designed by Roger Rulewich and opened in 2001, the club consistently earns praise for its conditioning, layout, and overall experience. Course Layout & Design The par 72 stretches over 7,200 yards from the championship tees, with a demanding slope rating. Water is a defining feature, especially on the back nine, where strategic shot-making is essential. The par-3 15th hole requires a full carry over water to a protected green, rewarding precision. Each hole offers unique variety, keeping the round fresh and engaging. Conditioning & Playability Bentgrass fairways and greens are kept at a high standard, rivaling private clubs. Greens are fast with plenty of movement, making confident putting important. Greens fees include access to extensive practice facilities, GPS carts, and options for walking or caddies with advance arrangement. Atmosphere & Service Arrival sets a private-club tone, with a full-service clubhouse, pro shop, practice areas, and a steakhouse overlooking the 18th green. Staff are attentive and operations run smoothly, even during peak summer months. Value Consideration Pricing is on the higher side, especially during the racing season, but course quality and service make it worthwhile for those seeking a memorable golf experience.

Nice layout yes. Is it worth $250? Absolutely not. Greens were punched earlier in the week with no warning or price reduction. Amenities are fine nothing special. $150 max they should be charging. It’s good but not that good.

Great place for 18... from starting at the practice range, then going to the first tee, everything is in order to having a great round of golf. Course is awesome and can't wait to go back and play.

As a destination wedding photographer I love capturing weddings at the Saratoga National Golf Club wedding venue in upstate New York. The ceremony site by the reflecting pool is beautiful and allows for seamless flow to cocktail hour on the outdoor patio. The tent for the reception is just as impressive. Spacious, with views of the golf course, and ideal for high-end celebrations, it offers the charm of an outdoor wedding without the hassle of the production of hosting a tented wedding reception. As a wedding photographer, I especially appreciate how the space flows for guests and allows for a seamless transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. It's a venue that knows how to host an elevated event that runs seamlessly. Highly recommend for couples looking for a timeless, outdoor experience with top-tier service. — Julia Starkey, Julia Rebecca Photography
