My sister and her husband booked this venue upon seeing the reviews & being recommended. But I refuse to stay silent about how we were treated. We come from a religious background and had the men/women separate at the wedding. The sole purpose was to allow women who wear hijab to take it off & all women to dress however they like for the wedding. We strictly requested and made sure that no male workers are to enter the women’s side. They did not respect that at all. Numerous times I had to speak to the workers asking them to please not bring out another male worker. 4 times total to be exact I asked & got a little frustrated after they didn’t listen the second time. Male workers came & it upset a lot of our guests & this was extremely disrespectful to our religion. It was also extremely hot. Is the owner of this place so cheap that they can’t afford to turn up the AC & leave it on???? Although it was my sister’s wedding, I also, was considered a guest and I can’t say I felt like one when I had to always keep an eye out if they brought male workers. Another thing, the service was awful. No one refilled our drinks, we had to ask for them to bring out more water, desserts, etc. when it’s their job to monitor & bring out at said time agreed upon. This place was not cheap, and for the price that was paid, I highly do NOT recommend booking Locust Hill Country Club.

Mother’s Day brunch was not great. Several things ran out. Couldn’t get French toast out of pan bc it stuck. All juices empty and no coffee cups. Many of the menu items looked unappetizing. No pastries or fruit available. I heard that 9 employees did not show up for work that day, but the staff that was there did a great job, but their menu wasn’t worth the price. Never again.

I had high hopes for this venue, especially after hearing it recommended by a family friend who held her own event here. Unfortunately, the day did not live up to that, and I feel I should share my experience honestly so others can decide for themselves. In the beginning, the coordinator could not have been more pleasant. Every request was met with a yes, and we felt reassured that we were in good hands. But about a week before the wedding, her manner changed completely. Suddenly the answer to everything was no, and she became short and rude with us. That shift was both surprising and disheartening so close to such an important day. A clear example was the signage. We had asked early on for two signs directing male and female guests to their respective areas in the entryway, an important detail for the wedding. She did not update them until the groom mentioned it! and on the day it turned into a real ordeal, as the office where they were kept the computer and printer was locked and no one could get to them till later on. I could not understand how something we had arranged well in advance was simply not ready. The lack of management on the day was my larger disappointment. The coordinator was present only briefly at the beginning and then left for the day, leaving everything to her staff. We had to keep telling the staff what to do and repeatedly remind them to refill the stations, the water, the coffee, and everything else. They needed guidance they did not have. As a result, my family and I found ourselves stepping in to keep things moving. This was not the day I had hoped for my son's wedding. Three of our items also went missing, all were large enough that they should not have simply been lost or overlooked. We were told no one knew where they were, and they were never recovered. It was upsetting to lose belongings that mattered to us, especially without an explanation. They mopped the dance floor, the mop left a terrible smell. We asked for an air freshener, and they said they'll bring one, and they never did so for an hour. The room smelled so bad and with the heat didn't help at all. If there was no air freshener, they could updated us instead of us having us wait. Smaller letdowns occurred throughout, including the room's heat and the food and refreshments, which did not meet expectations for the price paid. I do not write this out of bitterness. I am overjoyed for my son and his wife, and the love in that room is what I will always remember. I simply hope my honest feedback helps the venue improve for the families who follow, because every couple deserves to feel cared for on such an important day.

Here for an event for my work and I have to say this experience was less than satisfactory. The food was nothing to brag about and very tasteless and the servers were highly distracting and showed no customer service what so ever. Served steaks with butter knife’s and door to kitchen wide open while the use of vulgar language echoed into the main venue! Very un professional.

This venue came highly recommended and sits at 4.6 stars, but our experience did not match that at all. I cannot recommend it. The wedding coordinator: She was present at the very beginning and then left, handing a large wedding off to her staff for the rest of the day. How do you walk away from an event this size? While she was there, she was dismissive and rude to us. When my sister spoke to her, the coordinator went over to relay the instructions to her staff, but as she did it she was waving her hand back toward my sister, gesturing dismissively as if my sister were nothing. You could see she was visibly annoyed. What got to me most was the two-facedness. She would smile and say "oh yeah, sure," and then, still in the same room where we could plainly see her, drop the act and look annoyed. If you are unhappy, at least wait until the guests leave. As someone who has been a coordinator, I know this work, and this was bad. To be fair, the staff were clearly doing their best, but the staff are inexperienced . Also, the staff needed a real leader, someone with experience, and that should have been the coordinator. For an event this size, with specific cultural requirements, she should have been there the entire time. Religious accommodation ignored: Many of the women had their hijabs off in that space, which is exactly why we told the male staff clearly and repeatedly not to enter. Male staff walked in anyway, more than once. That is a fundamental failure to respect our guests and our requests. Temperature: The venue was extremely hot. Guests were sweating the entire time. I raised this multiple times and nothing was done. Catering charges and service: We agreed on plates, catering, and a price up front, then later learned they charged $100 for the staff member who carved the meat, never disclosed in the original quote. The food itself was not good either; the meat was dry and flavorless. Service was just as off. We had to keep asking for utensils, water refills, and snacks instead of being looked after. The celery and carrots ran out and were not refilled until we asked. Since when does the client have to tell the waitstaff what to do? that is the coordinators job. The snacks were just crackers and cheese, very basic and embarrassing for an event like this, and when we asked for more they brought out a little apple with cream cheese on top. Everything was set up far from guests instead of near the kitchen or water station. The cake: Many of our guests never got any cake, which was embarrassing. The staff brought a few out, and once it was gone, that was it, no one brought more. At the very end, after our guests had already left, a staff member asked me what we wanted to do with the rest of the cake. That was the first I heard there was more. There was cake the whole time; it simply was not being brought out. I had them set it on the table right then, but by that point everyone was gone. Audio, staging, and vendor treatment: We brought in our own DJ, and the coordinator was openly rude to her as well. On top of that, the venue had no stage, which is baffling for an event space. Our DJ wanted to bring her own staging, which the coordinator was very rude to her and hard to work with, she refused the DJ to come in early to set up the stage, so we ended up renting one. This was not disclosed till 10 days prior to the wedding. There were issues with the microphone and speakers. When we raised it, the coordinator had the nerve to claim we never said we requested a microphone, at a wedding reception. It came across as either inexperience or indifference. How do you present broken equipment to your client? A $300 discount after all this was insulting. We paid over a good amount and our family felt like we were the ones making sure everything got done. One guest who considered booking here changed their mind after seeing what we went through. I would not recommend Locust Hill Country Club.
