Haven’t played course in a couple years , started back last season and the 18 was much improved ( still needs work but much improved from previous years) the price is right on for a public course of this caliber. Would like to see the tee boxes in better shape . All in all nice course .

I write anonymously as I will continue to play here due to convenience and retaliation would be on brand. That said, let's get started. 1) Want to play 18 for less than 50 bucks during the week? Keep looking. 2) Want to play 18 in the afternoon? You'll get laughed at. 3) Want to get a hot dog at the turn or after the round? Too bad. 4) Enjoy some light banter or pleasant small talk with the pro shop? You won't here. 5) Want to pay people who hate golf like the Grinch hates Christmas the price of 18 just to play 9 in the heat without a drop of water? Plan on going to firestone for some new tires after the round too? Perfect, this is your home. Ultimately, if you prefer to give your money to those that earn it, convivence is the only reason to play here. The course is more than playable and the potential is evident. While previous neglect is also evident on certain holes, the primary issues are not attributable to the course itself, but management and their business practices. They command a higher price than is warranted because it is the only course (excluding 9 hole / par three muni courses) anywhere near this side of Jacksonville. If this course was out closer to the town center, mandarin, the beaches, or Orange park, at the current price to quality ratio Hyde Park would only get business from overflow when the surrounding courses are booked up. Location Location Location (i.e., convenience) is Hyde Park's crutch. They close earlier and more frequently than any course I have been around. If there was a morning shower in North Georgia last week, these guys are boarding it up. Hyperbole of course, but if you have been around here, you understand. Critically, Hyde Park, at least under current management, is the only place in town that will not let you play more than 9 holes after 3:30 PM, in the summer, when the sun sets after 8:30 PM. This is true irrespective of how crowded it is, or whether you walk or ride. It is not that you are prohibited from playing in the dark and have to call quits at 14 holes because you (or the group in front of you) fell behind pace. No no, that would be far too reasonable. Rather, it is that you cannot attempt to play more than 9 holes under any circumstance. You could be (as I have been) one of 3 players on the course, in the middle of summer when the sun sets at 8:30 PM or later, and you will be told its "impossible" to complete more than 9 holes at your 4 PM Tee time, as a solo, using a cart, with no one in front of you. Prepare to feel bitter when you finish your 9 holes and in an hour 15 and the sun stays up for another 3 and a half hours. Relatedly, they refuse to refill water jugs. Instead they just pull them out commission with 3 hours of tee times remaining, when its 92 degrees outside. No free water at the start / turn either. But you can buy some, if you're 'really' thirsty. The kicker is that the price of the 9 holes in the afternoon at Hyde Park is about the same as 18 at comparable and far better courses else where in town. For example, it will run you about 39 bucks before tax (and booking fees if you use an app) for 9 holes after 3:30 PM on week days at Hyde Park. Over at Cimarrone, a much nicer course, you can play (or at least attempt) all 18 for 43 bucks, as late as 6 PM, and have free water and ice to prevent heat stroke. Relatedly, they have been "building" the club house for longer than I have been alive. That is hyperbole, however, according to Hyde Park, the club house was supposed to be done in 2022, which was an estimate given in 2021 after considerations of the impact of COVID-19. What year is it now? Also, be careful where you park, despite dilatory construction, you're liable to lose tires to errant nails. Unfortunately, that is likely something you will have to deal with until construction is complete in 2048. Convenience is the only excuse I have for continuing to reward willfully lazy business practices with my dollars. It should be yours too.

The course of my youth. Played the White 9 today and while it was a bit bumpy in the fairways, the greens rolled as true as they did back in the 90s. They still have the old plaques for past club events and spotted my grandpa Dave! I was 3rd in the '96 juniors event and noticed Ryan Richards name still there as well. Just tons of memories. A great day!

Fix ur hours, u say 630 on website and 6pm google, I get there at 540 and ur closed at 5pm and worker said we can’t even walk the course. I understand if I don’t pay I can’t golf but now my Fridays ruined because I’m not making it elsewhere in time and can’t golf at all. I would have just gone to a nice course near my work like Glenn oak if I knew this.

Came here for my fist time on 10/11/2025. Staff was very helpful in guiding me in the right direction of the first hole on the north course. The course is very nice, it was challenging for my handicap level (high) in a good way. I certainly recommend and will certainly be back for more golf.
