Mansion Ridge is a top tier public course. We love its dynamic course design; you have to list 4 types of courses to properly describe the diverse terrain you find at Mansion Ridge. Be prepared: this course is *sneaky hard.* You may think you’re going low after the first couple holes, but from our experience, you’re going high. At Mansion Ridge, my friends and I routinely shoot 5-10 strokes higher than our average round, but the slope rating is accurately high so your handicap will not blowup. Regardless, it is a fascinating course that feels like an adventure every time. The course is kept in excellent condition, their greens roll true, and the tee boxes serve double duty as a place to tee off and enjoy some beautiful golf vistas. The carts come equipped with a GPS that offers a Bluetooth music speaker. The course plays a little slower because of difficulty and several blind hazards, but tee times are spaced out and we have never been delayed by slow play. They have a great restaurant as well as a snack shack at hole 6 and 11 with premade burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, cold wraps, snacks, and mixed drinks. Mansion Ridge also offers a convenient driving range, chipping green, and a well manicured putting green. Despite its challenging nature, we always look forward to a round at Mansion Ridge!

Simple the worst experience of my life and a course which MUST BE AVOIDED at all costs. Play centennial or another course That picture is the hitting mat at a 133 daily fee course. Really a ripped up mat? The grass was burnt out and not usable. The range is maybe 200 yards long too. Per the head pro Ryan F. Mansion ridge and winged foot are similar in ranges so who cares The fountain on 12 doesn't work so the pond on 12 is covered in green pond scum. Again they dont care. Again course is burnt out too look at pictures And the best. Per head pro Ryan F the usga rates course for 4.33 hours for pave of play. On weekends with 9 minute t time groups and again per ryan f head pro over 200 sunday rounds you are told to play in 4.15. I know this because I played a round in 4.17 hours and was told by ranger Carlos I was playing too slow and had to pick it up or be moved. How does one play in 4.17 and still get pushed? I was also told that a 4some must play at same speed as 3some at mansion ridge When I went into pro shop at end of round to ask how a 4some follows a three some and how i I played in 4.17 I played slow While talking with shop attendant Bill, Carlos walks in, the ranger, again per Ryan to return his radio, really? Carlos then threatens to fight me while im talking with Bill The head pro at this point was in Rhode Island at a golf tournament, the assistant pro was at the range and Bill couldn't find a manager What a joke of a club Lousy conditions A ranger who threatens to fight customers And a course who makes you play faster when it's crowded And walking 4somes are allowed too Ryan F and troon were contacted before this post. Pending on comments will post all emails in response. Avoid mansion fighting ridge and play better managed, better run, and better conditioned courses Ripped hitting maps, scum covered water, burnt over course conditions, and fighting rangers make it non playable AVOID AVOID AVOID especially Carlos the fighting ranger

First time playing here and found the course to be in great shape despite the rain soaked fairways. This course is not for the faint of heart, it's challenging on all levels. I'm an average golfer, however I was able to enjoy the course. It plays like a "links" course. Very scenic and plenty of wildlife, I had a deer watch me hit out of a trap. The staff was friendly and the club had a nice pro shop and lounge area. Putting, chipping greens and driving range.

Golfed here Sunday 8/10 after not playing here for at least a year or so. The course itself in great shape. However, I will "never" be coming back to play here again due to the Ranger getting in my face and wanting to fight because he thought I was staring him down... I was looking for my ball in back of the green and he was watching my 3 buddies and I for 2 holes stating we're holding up the whole course. Nonsense, GPS on carts showed us being at least 5 minutes ahead of pace and we always maintain pace and play at least a couple times each week. So much for coming out on a nice summer day with your friends to enjoy a round all while paying a premium price to get harassed. Do yourself a favor and play somewhere else in the lower Hudson valley. There are plenty of other nice courses comparable if not better to Mansion ridge. They are also cheaper and you won't get harassed. What a disappointment!!

The course is always well maintained and green speeds are pretty consistent. Really annoying that they don’t provide water anywhere on the course. You have to buy water at the turn or just be dehydrated the entire time. We also played a round yesterday that took over 5 hours. The ranger was not enforcing pace of play and the entire course ended up being backed up over 30 minutes! The kids that work at the front are not very friendly, especially at the end of the shift when they want to go out and play the course for free. My friend forgot his tobacco oil pen in the cart and within 3 minutes the cart was gone, had to go all the way to where they keep the carts, found the exact cart and the pen was nowhere to be found. When I asked the employee there, it was pretty clear he found it and kept it for himself. Its a pity to have such an amazingly maintained course ruined by such minor details. Will come back, but hopefully they focus on pace of play and allow people to play under 4.5 hours
