Might be one of the worst manicured courses i ever played on. the rough off the fairway is 6 plus inches in length with dead clumps of grass everywhere cant even find your ball in it unless you are standing on top of it. Every response they post is oh mother nature makes it difficult. Dont listen to these lies they just dont mow. The course is very dry most fairways are like concrete and have dead patches everywhere. We were golfing at 1pm and they were just mowing the fairways on the 2nd hole. Dont waste your time golfing here. Put all their money into the clubhouse to sell alcohol and food and not into keeping up the course. Finally it costs 7 bucks to enter beaver island state park which t you must pay to reach the golf course and they have posted a sign that says they dont even refund it to you. Golf anywhere but here.

I used to come here as a kid. Much of it is just the same. Some of it has been fixed up and maintained. I see they have a snack bar now and the main building looks cleaned up and useful This still unfortunately suffers from neglect in funding in certain areas. The boardwalk is in need of some repair(wear footwear). Some play areas have been neglected and left to rust while others are new and upkept. Still not a bad park. It has some great views and is wide enough for lots of people to use it while not being on top of each other. Bike trails, golf course, frisbee golf, etc.

Decent course, nothing fancy. The clubhouse burned down a few years ago and the new one is such a huge improvement. They serve food, beer, and booze. Breakfast till 11 and lunch after that. Breakfast options, the day I was there (June 2018), was only a small breakfast sandwich or a small breakfast burrito. Not impressed. Course is wide open and pretty straight with a few sand and water traps. Great price and one of the closest courses to the city. Be warned about bridge traffic.

Beautiful beach. Plenty of room to "social distance". No trash cans on the actual beach, had to track down a can in the parking lot. (No white bathing suits or lightly colored- under the water is a dark almost black clay that stains!)

A pleasant park that has plenty of activities to offer. It is a nice place for cross country skiing in the winter. With the exception of summer, it is a peaceful place to run if you want to avoid road traffic. If you are into photography there are wonderful scenic sunset views and wildlife at the nearby trails. Check it out!
