I am only doing this on one experience. Went to a tournament there on Saturday, I cannot believe how disorganized it was. They cramped everyone into the bar area to check in, huge wide open patio is available. The course was OK for a mid May date, it was the pace of play that was insane. The first nine holes took four hours. You can read that again, four hours. The entire 18 took 7 1/2 hours, but I think that’s mainly due to people leaving because of the rain. I would normally chuck this up to they are not used to hosting tournaments, but everyone was telling me that’s pretty much all they do. And lastly, they ran a private 50-50 raffle whereas they get the proceeds. This is illegal in New York State. One done for me, there’s so many better options.

This place has steadily gone downhill over the last decade. I’ve been golfing here in a league since 1999 and I’ve never seen conditions this bad. Brown, cracked, burned out greens that are as hard as concrete. You cannot land your ball on a green and not watch it bounce off! More dirt on the tee boxes than grass. Arid, dry fairways that are hard as rock. Beat up carts with cracked windshields. The only time this course gets any irrigation is when it rains. What a shame because the layout of this course is beautiful. Our league fee is $27 for 9 holes. Rip off!!!!

Saw this course was close to my house, decent price for 18 so I thought I'd try it out. From the beginning, it was a nightmare. I had no idea where you check in as they had two run down buildings with no signs anywhere. One was locked that looked like the pro shop which seemed strange. The other was the bar and that's where you checked in and paid. This course is the epitome of neglect and seems like it was given up on a long time ago. It's pretty sad because it's a great layout and could be awesome but it's severely run down. Fairway and rough are the same, sand traps are rock hard, dry patches everywhere. Also the play was ridiculously slow for how few people were out there. 4 somes not letting me pass as a single and taking their time. After about 10 holes I gave up and left. Will not be coming back.

Just a heads up about the guy who runs this golf course. He owns a condo in Hilton Head Island, which he rented to us for $3300 total, for 2 weeks in April. Unbeknownst to us, the condo is infested with roaches. We cut our vacation short when he immediately agreed to refund us the $3300, and he also apologized multiple times. But here we are almost 3 months later, and he has refunded nothing. He even kept our security deposit! This is a heads up for anyone thinking of doing business with this person. I’ll be happy to update or delete this review if he refunds us, but that’s very unlikely to happen. We’ve been in touch with a number of others who have been scammed by this same person.

The course is in horrible shape, the greens look like they haven't been watered in weeks and there is still grass clippings everywhere in the rough. The owner should be ashamed of himself it should be charging only half price. Well now the Chestnut Hill owner has become a thief. At the beginning of the league year we paid for a season ending dinner. Instead there was a tournament ending when our evening league started up playing for our final week and the owner decided to stiff the league on our season ending dinner in order to feed the tournament people steaks. The staff wasn't informed on what to tell us when we checked in, so essentially the owner stole the league money. I'd be wary in setting any thing up with the owner...
