My girlfriend and I wanted to try out a new course, so we decided to give Spruce Ridge a shot. It was a wonderful experience — the course was beautiful and well-maintained, with a good mix of challenging and enjoyable holes. Everything from the staff, clubhouse to the driving range, practice greens, pricing, and the course itself was in great condition. I’ll be sure to tell family and friends to bring their business here. We had so much fun and will definitely be coming back more often!

I hate to give this course a 2-star review, but I’ve gotta be honest — Spruce Ridge truly feels like a “you get what you pay for” kind of course. The fairways seem to be made up of whatever was already growing there, mixed with fescue. There’s basically no distinction between the fairway and rough, and at times it feels like you’re hitting out of someone’s backyard that needs mowing. As the season goes on, the ground gets drier and drier, which makes it seem like the course is barely watered, if at all. The toughest part has to be the greens. Not necessarily the condition — they’re your typical muni-style mid-to-slow greens — but the excessive undulation. Good luck making anything outside of 3 feet because some pin placements feel like they’re literally on the side of a cliff. That said, the staff is amazing. Everyone is super friendly, the prices are cheap, and the location is beautiful. That’s honestly what makes this disappointing. The course has a ton of potential, along with a great little clubhouse/snack shack, but it just feels under-maintained. Nothing personal toward the staff whatsoever.

It was our first time playing golf. We had a great time even though it was very wet and pre season. My kids and I cannot wait to go back. Great views. And great lay out. We cannot wait to go back.

I love playing Spruce Ridge. It's a very peaceful 9-hole golf course. Some holes are quite challenging but that's golf. I love the clubhouse and the staff is very friendly. This is one of my favorite courses to play in the western New York area.
