This course used to be in great shape. Well laid out, challenging and competitively priced for the area. However, the past 2 years it is gone downhill. Greens are horrible amid their prices are too much based on the course’s condition. I hope they come back.

Timberton is a fun, not difficult course. Many holes have wide fairways guaranteed to keep the sliciest and hookiest golfers in play. We played 4/30 and the greens were bumpy and not the best shape. By mid summer, they should fill in nicely. Lots of sand comes into play along with quite a bit of water. There are many beautiful homes on the course that love when people play out of their back yards. The grille had some tasty burgers for $5. The gas carts are fast. Download one of the many course apps available to assist with gps, yardage, and shot placement as the score card does not contain a course map.

Susan and her marvelous chicken salad sandwich set me up so well at the turn, I had to have one for the ride home. What a sweet, sweet lady.

Beautiful traditional deep south golf course set amongst towering Mississippi pines. Great layout with suprising elevation changes. The greens are tight and fast, and there is trouble right off the fairway which makes the course a challenge. Fasio-esque layout where the holes are all separated from each other. The best part about Timberton though is the staff. The ladies working in the 19th hole snack bar are so friendly and funny. The homemade banana pudding is a must take-with for the back 9.

Just wrapped 18 holes, and the course is in great shape! I know there was some issues with the greens awhile back...but they are rolling true right now! The ladies in the grill are whippin up some good grub......and are just so sweet to be around. Timberton is special place, with that southern charm and tall pines that line the fairways.
