Like many others, we had written this place off the last 2 years. I had been checking the reviews and they had started getting better and better ratings. We played today and while it is not in tip top shape, it is definitely worth playing. Most all of the fairways were green, the rough is being cut to a decent length. The greens are still a little bumpy. Come out and play, for the $55 price I think it is definitely worth it. The scenery is awesome and the staff is amazing. I didn't try the grill but I read that it was good and it smelled amazing when I walked through there. We'll be back!

Hands down the best course in NM. The course is always in top shape, and the staff knows exactly how to take care of you. They always treat me and my group like VIPs, and that’s a big reason we keep coming back. Great service, great atmosphere, and an even better golf experience every time. If you’re looking for a course that’s worth your time and money, this is the one. Highly recommend.

Fun place to play. Course is in great condition and well maintained. We enjoyed the location of the course as not much surrounds it and the quiet is nice. Golf carts appear to be new as well. Tee times are spaced out where it’s an enjoyable pace of play.

Cochiti golf course was one of my favorite courses to play a few years ago, up until the point where the maintenance and upkeep degraded so much that it was no longer worth playing (in my humble opinion and based on online reviews). However, recently I started hearing good things about the course and I decided to book a tee time for our Wednesday foursome to play and evaluate course conditions. I must say we were all wonderfully surprised! The course was in very good shape, compared to a couple of years ago, and while there is still plenty of room for improvement, it was definitely worth playing. Overall, I debated rating it between three and four stars, and I finally settled on four. Most of the course is in great shape. If I had to be overly critical, I would complain about the following. The greens are a bit hairy, bumpy, and SLOW. Sometimes it was difficult to tell where the fairways started compared to the rough. On the other hand, the rough was mowed to a very playable length and we appreciated that. Finally, we are all glad we decided to go out there and give Cochiti a try after not playing there for a couple of years. We are all talking about going back there again soon and making it a part of our regular group of courses we play on Wednesdays. I've posted a few pictures of some of the holes on the course for your viewing pleasure. If anyone asks tomorrow if Cochiti is worth playing, my immediate response would be, DEFINITELY!

Overall Condition: The course was found to be in great shape, which was a pleasant surprise for the reviewers who were nervous due to previous reviews. Specifics: The greens were very slow but in good overall condition. The notoriously high rough had been cut to a playable level. Conclusion: The reviewers believe the course is making real progress in becoming a recommended "go-to" course again.
