Played in a 9 and Dine outing on a Thursday evening and it was such an enjoyable experience. The course was in great condition, and the staff did a great job of organizing the event. After the golf portion we had a dinner reception on the outdoor patio and it was great. Charming string lights with some great food was a great way to end our evening.

Overall, this was a really solid course and a great experience. The layout is enjoyable, conditions were well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The greens and the fairways were in great shape, which made for a fun round. The only downside was the pace of play—it was a bit slower than expected, especially on the back nine. That said, everything else was on point and I’d definitely come back again.

Preakness Valley Golf Course – East Course 209 Totowa Road, Wayne, NJ Don’t let the scorecard fool you—this is a cheeky little course that proves short does not mean easy. The East Course at Preakness Valley is a dependable, well‑maintained public option that rewards accuracy and course management over raw power. This par‑70 layout features a steady mix of par 4s, limited par‑5 scoring opportunities, subtle doglegs, and strategic bunkering that punishes careless tee shots and rewards precise approaches. Conditions are consistently solid for a high‑traffic public facility, with well‑groomed fairways, true‑rolling greens, and rough that adds challenge without feeling unfair during the season. The vibe is relaxed and efficient, supported by strong practice facilities, a full pro shop, and a convenient clubhouse bar and grill. It’s also very walkable—another plus. For NYC golfers without a car, it’s surprisingly accessible: take the 197 bus from Port Authority to Riverview Drive at Totowa Road, then walk down Corporate Drive to the course (about a 25‑minute walk) or grab a quick ~$7 Uber. Not a destination round, but excellent value and strong repeat‑play appeal for golfers looking for a fair, traditional public course they’ll come back to.

This golf course is one of the best maintained ones I’ve ever seen. The team is constantly working to keep everything in order and constantly updating the holes. The scenery here is just unmatched by any other golf courses. It is also very large and there are plenty of holes to play. Also a lot of geese!

Great place to play golf. They have two courses to choose from and they're both great courses, and the atmosphere in the clubhouse is great. They have live music, good food, good drinks. Cart girls provide great service on the course. Love playing here.
