Ocean Acres is a Shore-area public course that offers straightforward, enjoyable golf with a relaxed coastal-community vibe. The layout tends to be playable for a wide range of handicaps, rewarding golfers who keep the ball in play and manage approach distances into greens. It’s the kind of course where good decision-making often matters more than swinging hard—choose smart clubs off the tee, aim for safe green targets, and you can score. The pace and atmosphere typically feel casual and welcoming, making it a comfortable pick for vacation golf, leagues, and regular local rounds. Better players can still challenge themselves by playing aggressive lines, but the course generally rewards patience. If you’re looking for a dependable Shore-area round that’s easy to enjoy, Ocean Acres fits nicely.

OK public course. Very crowded with amateur golfers hitting into other tight fairways. Very slow pace of play. Fairways not well maintained. Greens not so bad. Pro shop is very friendly. Hole 9 and 10 are very picturesque and best part of the course.

Played here for the first time. It’s a shame it’s in such bad condition because With some investment and TLC it could be the only game in town serving the entire area plus LBI. It could be a crown jewel but currently I’ll bite the bullet and take the 45 minute drive elsewhere.

My son and I played today and the course we thought was in descent shape. Greens are still bouncing back from aeration. If they can work on the cart paths I believe it will make the experience even better. It was a good day.

Love playing here. I played yesterday for first time since I was a teenager (50 years ago). Brought back a lot of memories. The highlight of this particular round was losing my wallet and phone. The staff was amazingly helpful and by the end of the day, I had them back. Thanks to Rich Taylor and the guys. Saved my sanity
