Glen Ridge is a classic Essex County private club with a traditional parkland feel and a routing that rewards precision more than brute force. The course sits on mature property, so you’ll see tree-lined framing and holes that ask for controlled placement off the tee. The greens and approaches tend to be the scoring separator—distance control and correct angles matter a lot, especially when pins are tucked. It’s a club where the round feels steady and refined, and the course is designed for repeat play rather than one-time spectacle. Many golfers find it plays tougher than the yardage suggests because small misses often lead to awkward recoveries. If you like understated private golf where decisions and execution add up over 18, Glen Ridge fits perfectly.

Pleasant, respectful and friendly staff. It was a pleasure working with Howard at Glen Ridge Country Club. Our Champagne wall was part of their Mother’s Day celebration.

Excellent private country club featuring a meticulously-maintained golf course with views of the Manhattan skyline. The Willie Park Jr. designed course is short but challenging, with lightning fast greens. Service, food, and facilities were all top notch with a gorgeous club house and an extensive tennis program.

Prestigious club for 5 stars food service, tiki bar with a huge swimming pool, golf and tennis courts, a nice fire place and a great view of NYC. The best place for you to spend the summer at!
