Colonia is one of those New Jersey courses that feels like a living piece of golf history—old-school routing, traditional shot demands, and a “golf purist” personality. It’s not about modern spectacle; it’s about making you earn good scores through placement, clean iron play, and steady putting. The course’s character is built around classic proportions—holes that look simple at first glance but become difficult when you’re slightly out of position. You’ll often find that the best strategy is taking what the hole gives you instead of trying to overpower it, because the defenses are subtle and cumulative. It’s a great example of how a course doesn’t need extreme length to be challenging—smart design and well-placed trouble can do the job. If you like traditional golf that rewards patience and execution, Colonia is an excellent fit.

These pictures are from my attendance to the Colonia 60th Annual Golf Outing with the Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce 2024. Long story short, I was able to network with Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac and Debbie, the Editor of the Colonia Newspaper "The News Corner". Delightful conversationalists y'all!! Also, I remember chatting with various real estate brokers from Fidelity National. Among them: Juanita and Chris. The place was packed. Food and drinks were served. I wasn't interested in the food so I'm unable to rate the food and for drinks I had 12 oz bottles of Prosecco. The service was prompt and efficient, also bartenders were friendly and fast to smile and please. Tipping happened effortlessly. I love the golf course and the inside ambiance was very relaxing with quiet luxury. People were extremely well mannered and classy. The service was great. I had a wonderful time!

I've been to many country clubs and this is par to none. The beauty flowed from inside to the outside. I would recommend for any upscale events or a great day of gulf with colleagues or friends.
