Had a great tome playing the Blue course. Got in b4 the rain. 💦 One of the problems is the GPS system in the cart. Particularly on the blue course it sometimes stops you in places where it shouldn't stop you. It made it very difficult a couple of times when trying to reach my ball on the left side of the fairway. I was just zipping over to go to the ball when it gave us a warning and we were 50 yd from the exclusion zone signs. I find that's a sign of them not caring about the golfers. I'm sure it's not simple to fix, but err on the side of letting us get to our golf ball. I don't drive where I'm not supposed to anyway. I also fill holes and divots, and take care of the course that I play on.

Nice course. Really good shape. Easily walkable. Only complaint would be the layout isn’t that interesting. A lot of the holes feel the same. Food at the restaurant afterwards was really good.

A tough pill to swallow when you pay full price for the blue course, only to find that multiple tee boxes look like the Himalayan mountains, and the green on six looks like footage of the moon from the recent Artemis II space mission (no attempt to fix any divots). It would be nice to know- maybe via email communication, or when you go in to pay for the round that there is some work in progress (or offer a discount due to condition of this place). But that is asking way too much of this golf course.

We've played Pease for years, so this review comes with real history. The story has been the same for too long: rates go up, the course doesn't improve. The tee boxes are the most obvious failure. The attached photo was taken in spring, when conditions should be at their peak. This isn't a fluke or an off-week. It looks like this every year. The grounds crew either doesn't have the resources or doesn't have the direction to fix it. The driving range is in rough shape for most of the season. A few decent weeks doesn't make up for the rest of the year. Grill 28 is solid and genuinely good. But one well-run amenity doesn't justify the green fees when the actual course is this neglected. We've given it season after season hoping something changes. It hasn't. This will likely be our last year here.

Having been stationed at Pease Air Force Base from 1983-1985, and having played the course several times, I was excited to return. I have to say that I did not remember or recognize much of the course. They have removed a lot of trees and dried up the swampy area, by the looks. The course was in excellent shape and forgiving. It felt like it played short from the white tees. I say this because my drives were not always good but I was almost always able to hit my approach shots on or near the green... in a good solid rain. The staff was friendly and I found the price reasonable. I will definitely be back when the sun is out!
