Description

Steeped in history, Las Vegas National has hosted PGA Tour events and remains a nostalgic gem close to downtown. The course features mature trees, narrow fairways, and classic bunkering, offering a traditional parkland-style layout. It's walkable, playable, and full of vintage Vegas charm. A favorite among locals and golf history buffs alike.

The final round of our Eagle Fang Golf trip was here and we had a great time. Friendly service from the time we checked in to the time we left. Nice course, but noisy being so close to the airport. This was the longest track from the whites that we played in this trip. 🤙🏼🤙🏼

I had a great experience at Las Vegas National Golf Course! The service was excellent—everyone at the pro shop and the buggy staff were super friendly, relaxed, and helpful. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but playing golf in Vegas was a memorable experience. The fairways were in excellent condition, and the drinks cart came by several times, which was much appreciated. I did find the bunkers very dry and tough to play out of, and the greens were a lot slower than I expected, especially considering the dry climate. The overall vibe on the course was really chill—fellow players were friendly and easygoing. One thing that caught me off guard was how close the houses are to the left side of many holes. There are no protective barriers, which made for a few nerve-wracking tee shots. If you tend to hook the ball, I'd definitely recommend having insurance—just in case!

Lovely course, great practice facilities and a nice half way house with friendly staff. Greens ran well and the course was in great condition. Making the score down by 1, the price was slightly expensive because I was an over seas player. Total cost was in the region off $150. Fair price imo would be $100. Thanks for having us.

TL/DR Don’t waste your time or money on this terrible golf course. Absolutely terrible greens conditions ,slow play, and calling those dirt holes bunkers is laughable. Generally I am ok with most course conditions as long as I know what I am getting myself into but this course was in terrible shape. I am from out of state vacationing in Vegas so I have never been to this course. The first thing I did when I walked in was asked the club house about course conditions and how true the greens were and what speed they ran at. I proceeded to have a couple minute conversation about how they run pretty true and average pace for green speed. Every one of those greens had been hit by some disease and there were more craters and different shades of green on every green than any course I have ever played, not to mention the “bunkers” were just brown holes filled with loose dirt. We paid 140 dollars per player and we left after 14 holes. Even the emptied creek beds were covered in trash. It is clear that this course is relying solely on the history of the rat pack and the fact that Tiger has played there and won. The one star rating is only acceptable because the prices for drinks and food at the turn were decent by Vegas standards. Overall do not waste your time or money at a course that clearly does not care about their conditions or hides the fact they the course is in bad shape. This is not worth even a consideration for your golf trip!

Course was in great shape, staff was very friendly and we played early morning in 3 hrs. I found this to be a tough course, water is close on several fairways and many elevated greens with good bit of undulation. Easy to get short-sided from 2 sides of several greens. It's not desert golf to me, parkland layout with a lot of trees and bunkers. Would recommend, just not desert golf like courses farther out from the strip.
