This review is specifically in regards to the teaching pro, Drake Lundeen. I write very few reviews, but he is worthy of one. I think the marks of a great teacher are 1) to have deep knowledge of their subject matter, 2) to understand how their student best learns and 3) be able to explain a concept or instruction in more than one way until the student gets the information. Drake is not only exceptional in every one of these areas, but he also backs it up with drills to reinforce the concept away from the lesson and visual recordings of the key points of a lesson so that its reference able in the future. He additionally has created innovative programs to address all golfer levels. I highly recommend Drake for anyone interested in improving their game!

We have enjoyed time on the courses and the driving range at Stone Creek. It would be great to have water on course and ball cleaners. This summer I completed the ladies clinic with Drake and have done one on one as well. He has helped me improved my game from swing to on course strategy. Although I still have a long ways to go he has helped improve my confidence in what I am capable of doing. Teaching adults isn’t always easy, but he does a great job!

Update for 2026: Pace of play has been much better with rangers helping out more on course and starters getting play going on time. Greens were in great shape as well. Still recommend getting some sand bottles on the carts for keeping up the fairways and teeboxes. But otherwise the course is more how I remember it growing up. Still need to do something about the geese!

Drake Lundeen at Stone Creek is easily one of the most cerebral instructors in the game today. In an industry flooded with "swing gurus" and conflicting theories, Drake’s approach is a breath of fresh air. He excels at the initial assessment, possessing a rare ability to read a player’s tendencies almost instantly. Through a targeted diagnostic process, he moves past the "fluff" to pinpoint the exact mechanical leaks in your game. While the grind on the range is always necessary for progress, Drake provides the technical "feels" and feedback loops that actually stick. His methods don't just offer a quick fix; they provide a repeatable blueprint you can recall months later under pressure. After just a few sessions, I’ve found a renewed sense of confidence in my practice sessions and, more importantly, I'm seeing it translate to the scorecard every time I tee it up.

Fun Course with an easy layout but absolutely horrible bunker conditions. If you happen to find one, good luck getting out. Some have no sand others are mud, notice the amount of water in these bunkers. Omaha has not had any measurable rain in 8 weeks. NSAA hosted a class A District Tournament there yesterday. A bad look for Stone Creek.
