Staff and conditions are excellent. Trees definitely need to be trimmed back. If I’m in the fairway I should have a clean shot to the green. (Having this occur once is ok, multiple times is probably a sign that trees need to be trimmed)

I photographed a beautiful May wedding here. The staff was super helpful and kind. It is a gorgeous Club with beautiful grounds and the staff worked very hard and was professional.

We held one night of our 50th class reunion here. A year was sent planning and we included meetings with the venue in the process. Personnel changed through the process. Their internal communication must have been poor as it seems we got different information throughout the process. Mark planning into the negative category. The room itself functioned well. The food was tasty. There weren’t enough bartenders and they failed to provide a card reader (we were told cards could be used in planning) so it was a cash bar. That’s fine if you expect it. During the evening workers snacked off of our buffet. Several people told me that their fresh plate of food was taken while they went to get a drink. Some of our decorations had to be found by search crews at the end of the night. Some were never found. We were charged a sizable service fee, so for that, I would have expected better trained workers. The buffet was taken away without any warning and it was not a topic covered in meetings. The evening was a success in spite of what the planning committee considered to problems. If you want to book an event here, I would encourage you to be very clear about your needs and expectations and add them to the printed agreement.

Really nice Club on the outskirts of Lincoln! The clubhouse is really neat and the golf course was a very nice challenge! Friendly staff, great experience!

We were at Hillcrest for a wedding, obviously it’s primarily a golf facility. Your wedding will be contesting with the golf operations. They proved the wedding coordinator, she was marginally effective and adds confusion and uncertainty in her poor process management. Now the food was very good, presented well and the buffet was efficient in getting the 150+ guests through the line. Tables were bussed quickly, people in the venue were nice and accommodating. There were two bars, strangely the facility has gone cashless, but there were no machines at the bars to take credit cards so credit card numbers, names and CCV numbers had to be written down and charged in mass later. There is no ATM on site to get cash for the bar. The most problematic issue, and why we can only give two stars was that the AC could not handle the heat load of the people in the room, so sweating while just sitting was the norm and people dancing were just dripping with sweat. Play golf here, don’t get married!
