I sat through a three hour rain delay and was forced to walk the course afterwards and yet, my day at Landmand was incredible. This course is beautiful, the staff is amazing, and everything about it is First Class. Yes, a tee time is difficult to garner, but I truly believe this should be a course you add to your "Must" list. What a hidden gem!

An excellent experience. Highly recommend if you can snag a tee time. Course flows naturally through the property with wide fairways and large greens. Recommend you splurge on the yardage book which really helped with carry distances.

"The hills are alive with the sound of golf..." If anyone knows that old song that I just ripped off... then at least you can appreciate the reference. If you love golf, when you are moving through the hills of Landmand...you just might want to break out in song....it's that inspiring....AND....that different. I've played several other sand hills courses...but NOTHING...and I mean NOTHING....has the land movement of Landmand. It is absolutely unique, and exhilarating. It's fun. It's quirky. But it's still very good and challenging golf. You will NEVER forget a round at Landmand...that's a promise! One other thing. There was a misunderstanding at the beginning of the morning. But Justin "JB" stepped in and went above and beyond to make things right. That's outstanding service and I think you'll find that to be the norm. Find the time and go. It's worth the trip, whatever you have to do to make it.

One of the hardest tee times to get for a reason, the place is incredible. Extremely helpful staff and awesome simple facilities lead you out to the reason you're there, the golf course. What an incredible use of terrain that highlights the topography and elevation available in eastern Nebraska. Immaculate fairways lead to some of the biggest and most undulating greens I've ever seen or played. Awesome experience would recommend to anyone who is a player. Casuals may pay a price, the course does have some challenging elements.

Pros: Overall, Landmand is a fun, funky, and challenging design. Think Old Macdonald, St Andrews Castle Course, or Streamsong Black. I appreciate the effort to minimize plastic waste by selling Nalgene bottles and providing numerous water refill stations throughout the course. The staff all seem like wonderful people, and the pro shop is thoughtfully designed -- shout out to the manager who intervened when a golfer was acting like a douche to a female staff member in the pro shop. Cons: The design skews slightly unfair due to the sheer number of forced carries. Most courses strike a better balance between features, resulting in a more accurate representation of a golfer's skill The carts don't have GPS, so with the number of blind shots on the course, you have to purchase the course guide to have any idea where you're supposed to be hitting on a few holes. I honestly loathe courses that make you share a cart with a complete stranger because they're too cheap to have enough on site. It makes for uncomfortable experience when you get paired with a dingleberry that blows vape smoke in your face all day like I did. The only reason tee times are so difficult is the scarcity manufactured by releasing the entire season's availability all at once. I got very lucky and managed to secure a double-header 36-hole day, but the reservation system disenfranchises too many people who show up on 12/31. A lottery system would seem far more equitable the current "survival of the fittest" approach, which effectively requires people to sit there refreshing a webpage for nearly an hour before the system finally decides to work.
