The course is excellent and fun to play, but we played yesterday (2/28/26) and there is a new policy of someone from the golf course rounding everyone up after 5 to come back in and stop playing even when there is enough light out to continue playing. I have never experienced a golf course doing this, and if they have this policy then they shouldn’t schedule tee times in the afternoon. It is an outrageous policy that would prevent me from playing here again. Please readjust if you do not want to lose customers.

Do not book. They have no Marshall’s and overbook tee times. Just played a 5 1/2 hour round because they allowed an 8some on the course. Photo attached of 12 people on 1 whole not counting the 4 some on the tee box and our group waiting for them. A total of 20 people on 1 hole.

5 star’s isn’t enough for this course. the rate, the condition, the views. But what’s more distracting than all of that is the Head guy James Happy. He’s a special kind of energy that makes you want to come back. I’ve never been one to want to be at the turn because that meant the round was half way over…But at Sun Valley , I look forward to it because I get to see James- THE best to do it in the business.

This course is a true hidden gem. I couldn’t recommend it more! The staff are all incredibly kind, helpful, and easygoing, which makes the experience even better. Jim Happe in particular stands out as one of the most enjoyable people you’ll meet. His passion for golf and genuine care for making sure everyone has a great time really shines through. Sun Valley is the perfect example of what a public golf course should be, and I’m a huge fan.

Absolutely stunning course in the fall. Cant beat the price. Friendly staff and good pace of play. First nine holes play at 123-124 slope but the back nine is 134. A hidden gem and beautiful scenery.
