They truly are awful! The staff will tell you what you want to hear just to get you off the phone. The maintenance is even worse. You can place a work order on the app (like they tell you to) but never show up to fix a problem. They don’t even deserve one star. You're better off living in your car.

I would not recommend renting from The Links Oxford Apartments based on my experience. I was told that I needed to pay a $725 deposit in order to be placed on the waiting list, which I paid in full. The deposit was paid in two separate payments of $350 and $375. I was also informed that being placed on the waiting list did not guarantee I would receive an apartment for my requested move-in date of July 1, 2026. I was never offered an apartment, and I never signed a lease agreement. Because I do not have a car, I later found another apartment closer to the University of Mississippi and requested a refund of my deposit and removal from the waiting list. I was then told that I had forfeited the deposit. After speaking with multiple people in the leasing office, they agreed to refund $375, but retained $350. I am sharing this so future students and renters clearly understand the policies before paying a deposit or joining the waitlist. I am choosing to post this anonymously for privacy reasons.

I urge anyone considering Links Apartment to think carefully before paying an application fee or deposit. Finding a home is not a spontaneous decision. It requires months of planning, preparation, and financial commitment. Understanding that, I applied and paid both the application fees for myself and my spouse, as well as the required deposit, months in advance. Throughout the process, I was repeatedly told that I was number one on the waiting list. Based on those assurances, I planned accordingly. However, despite being told I was first in line, no unit was ever offered and no meaningful updates were provided. When I requested a refund of my deposit, I was told to wait until May 29. I waited. On May 29, I was informed that a manager would call me that day or the following day. No call came. I followed up by email and received no response. Over the course of this process, I visited the office five separate times, using my lunch breaks and personal time to seek answers. Each visit ended the same way: no decision, no update, and no resolution. My scheduled move-in date was June 1, 2026. As of that date, I had no apartment, no explanation, and no communication from management. The most frustrating aspect of this experience was being repeatedly assured that I was first on the waiting list while receiving no meaningful communication. Those assurances created expectations that directly affected my family’s housing plans. This was not a minor inconvenience. It was months of uncertainty, missed opportunities, and disrupted planning. Before I paid, I received frequent calls encouraging me to move forward with the application. After payment, communication largely stopped. At this point, I am simply requesting the return of my deposit. Update: Now I received a call from them, they as expected not saying the truth, and saying that the deposit is non refundable, and that they offer me an apartment of my preferences before, ( THIS NEVER HAPPENED). They look like they have no availability but collecting money from us. Please, all make sure don’t pay any penny to them before signing the contract.

Omg I don’t know where to start. I called and kept communication open with Ms. Myeisha and Ms.Tori before move-in. Both have been so helpful and such pleasant women. This went beyond just moving in. I had an issue with my deposit about 2 weeks after moving in. I spoke with them and they were still smiling and pleasant women. she called me right away, when they could have just left me in the dark not knowing and racking up charges. I was furious inside, but managed to fight back the tears and Speak with Management (Tori) who understood and is only doing her job. So sorry Ms Tori if I seemed angry it wasn’t towards you at all. She gave me some advice and ways to work out my situation. I appreciate you Tori thank you kindly. This goes against what others are saying about this place because I am in love with my unit…. -Carmela E.
