Aberdeen Country Club (often listed as Aberdeen Golf & Country Club National) is a small town private nine that opened in 1959. Its 3,008 yard back tee yardage belies some narrow tee shots and raised greens that shed indifferent approaches. The course plays quickly yet demands solid iron play to score, with a couple of reachable par 4s offering risk reward options. Conditioning centers on tidy fairways and receptive greens typical of North Mississippi parkland layouts. Members enjoy a driving range and a straightforward, friendly golf-only atmosphere.

This private club does not reciprocate with other private clubs. I have played East Lake Golf and Piedmont Golf Courses, which are two of the most exclusive clubs in the Atlanta, Ga region. However, I was told that this small town 9-hole club in Aberdeen, Ms does not allow other private club members to play. I was shocked to say the least. Fortunately, Riverbirch Golf Course, which is in very close proximity does and it is a much better full 18-holes course.
