In Two Harbors, Lakeview National lives up to its name with elevated looks toward Lake Superior and a northern-forest feel. The current 18-hole course dates to the mid-1990s expansion and renovation by Williams, Gill & Associates (Garrett Gill/George Williams), replacing an older nine. It plays as a par-72 with strong par-4s and par-5s that climb and fall with the terrain, plus a set of par-3s that can be quite stout in the wind. Municipally owned, it's known for friendly service and solid conditions at a reasonable price. The layout is a must-play when road-tripping the North Shore.

August 24th. Greens looking good. Tee boxes were in great shape. I enjoyed the course and the wind in my face! Beautiful course thanks Lakeview!!

Course is just beat to shit shape and they’re charging full price. Slowest round of your life and putting on actual sand. Course owner should be embarrassed but it’s in the middle of nowhere so they get away with it

Played here for the first this fall. The course layout was perfect with a few nice views of superior. I enjoyed the challenging set up however, the course itself is in bad shape. Hard as a rock fairways with lots of holes & dry areas. You can hurt yourself playing from the fairways. I’d rather be in the rough. Range was free but you had to go pick your own balls out of the range area. Maybe they were under staff some when we (group of 12) were there at 11:00 am. Deserves more of a 3 1/2 stars. Course has a lot of potential!

Loved it both times we went. Design & Layout is fun + challenging and that philly cheese steak & BLT - simply amazing.

Course is fairly challenging, especially for those of us who are not long hitters. It's in good shape, nice greens, surprisingly nice fairways. Overall, was a fun golfing experience. I tossed the score card so my rounds total should improve as I tell people about our day.
