River Crest began life as a 9-holer in 1923 along the Minnesota River, then grew to 18 in 1994 with a Goldstrand-designed second nine. The result is a rolling, varied parkland test with several nicely elevated green sites. It's playable for all levels yet keeps low handicappers honest with a handful of long par 4s and risk-reward par 5s. Practice facilities and a lively local restaurant add to the experience. It’s ok to golf. Some challenging golf holes certain fairways need attention but all in all it was fun

What a mixture of layouts, some open fairways, some very tight by the river holes and some strange forced in holes (16,17 & 18). Condition was decent for the weather condition. A few very beat up tee boxes need maintenance.
