Played Inverwood golf course on a Monday afternoon in early September. The course was packed full and we were paired up with a random couple. Course had a great “starter” house and set up and was on time right down to the second for our tee time. Off the first tee, having not played there before, it was difficult to figure out where to aim and hit to. Many other holes were blind bits or blind approaches as well. The course layout would be what I consider “fair,” there was nothing special about it. They or feature hole is #12, a 176 yrd Par 3 with a massive elevation drop. With slope, the hole played closer to 150 yards. Very scenic with wildlife trolling you as you swing. Tee boxes were level and forgiving. Greens layouts were favorable and rolled nicely, they weren’t super fast, nor were they slow. The clubhouse was nicely laid out and had a small shopping area to buy all golf items. If you’re on a time budget, I would look elsewhere to golf because it gets to be a very busy golf course. Took us 45 minutes to play 3 holes. It if you’ve got all day and got nothing but time, give Inverwood GC a try.

Beautiful and picturesque course. I got started in golf from here. It's quite a distance to get here if you live on the Minneapolis side. As for the course most players prefer to rent cart because of the challenging terrain. I took it as a challenge walking the full 18 holes. The only time I made the exception is on a 90+ summer day.

I have been a loyal, paying customer at Inverwood for a long time, but after my experience today, they will be getting significantly less of my business. While on the driving range, I made an honest mistake and hit a few of my own white golf balls. The only posted sign I saw was "Mats Only." Instead of a polite reminder, the manager approached me aggressively, asked if I was the one hitting the white balls, and when I honestly said yes, snapped, "We don't want them! If I catch you doing it again I am kicking you out." To be threatened with being kicked out over an unposted rule—immediately after buying three range tokens—is completely rude, unprofessional, and out of line. Treating long-time customers with zero respect is a quick way to lose them.

Inverwood Golf Course is a very fun play! Really strong elevation changes, tight fairways, and fair greens make for a really exciting round. Always in great shape and in a great location, it’s a must play in the Metro!

My dedicated anniversary membership course. Fantastic staffs (Matt Scott Bill Liam etc.)! Super friendly, amiable, and pleasant! I play 3-4 times per week here.
