Overall, I enjoyed the course and the greens were in great shape, which is a huge positive. The one negative was our experience with the ranger. He criticized one of our playing partners for having a bottle of water on a 90-degree day. I understand watching for alcohol or other prohibited items, but questioning someone over water seemed unnecessary. He then hovered over us and told us we were two holes behind the group in front of us. In reality, there was ann open tee time ahead of us, we weren’t holding up the group behind us and we finished in 4 hours and 2 minutes walking with push carts. I just wish he had asked a few questions before assuming we were the problem. The price is definitely on the high end for what you get. But if they can get it, more power to them. I just think there are better values out there. Overall, good course and great greens — hopefully the ranger experience was just a one-off.

Always have a good experience here and play in the weekly men’s league. Course is always in good shape and it has some easy holes along with some difficult ones (damn you Hole 12). A good challenge without being too frustrating. Staff and club pro are always helpful and friendly.

Walked 9 on Sep. 1 at 4:50, it was $37 dollars. The greens were extremely slow and bumpy, fairways had crab grass everywhere, tee boxes were extremely uneven and unkept. Everyone working was very kind and helpful, but this is price gouging at its finest. This course is in terrible shape, and it isn’t because of the season. Go elsewhere, for a round that is cheaper/same price and you will get a much better product.

I like the course layout, the electric carts are nice, the proshop is adequately stocked and staff are friendly and courteous. However, the course would really benefit from better upkeep from the grounds crew. It’s often the simple stuff, like ball washers with no water, empty on-course water jugs, significant mower debris on most fairways, etc. that bring the course down. They also might choose to water more often, as quite a few fairways and greens are about as “tan” as they are green.. It’s not a bad course by any measure, but it could be nicer if they worked a little harder on upkeep.

I was set to play at this course and happened to see the reviews. I was dismayed to see several negative reviews. But after playing it, I couldn’t see why those reviews were written. There were complaints about the greens but my group thought they were fine. We had no negative interactions with the staff and thought they were quite friendly and accommodating. Having worked at a few golf courses, I have learned that the patrons that have the most complaints are usually ones who arrive late for their tee times, who are playing slowly and have been asked to pick up the pace or ones who feel that rules of common courtesy don’t apply to them. All 16 members of our group enjoyed their golf at Bluff Creek.
